I’m quitting Arknights: Endfield after the 1.1 livestream – F2P feels impossible
I really had hope they would listen to the community and make meaningful changes after all the feedback. But after watching the 1.1 livestream for Arknights: Endfield, I’m honestly done.
The biggest issue for me is the pull currency. We’re barely receiving any meaningful amount, especially for limited/special banners. How are we realistically supposed to save up something like 50k currency in a single update? It feels like it would take 2–3 patches just to guarantee one character. That’s insane pacing for a gacha game.
For comparison, look at Honkai: Star Rail. Every patch there has multiple events, solid endgame content, and a steady stream of pull currency. As a F2P or light spender, it’s actually realistic to get characters you want if you plan properly. There’s a clear sense of progression and reward for staying active.
With Endfield right now, it feels like F2P players are getting squeezed hard. I get that gacha games need to make money, but the current balance feels way off. If this doesn’t change, I think the game is going to lose a lot of players — especially the F2P crowd. Sure, it’ll probably retain enough spenders to generate decent revenue, but long-term community health matters too.
I really wanted to stick with this game, but 1.1 killed a lot of my motivation.
Curious if anyone else feels the same way, or if I’m missing something.

She drains inflictions (of which wulfgard can apply 2 for 1 SP) as well as cares about combustion. That's as good as it gets and it'll satisfy the casuals who don't look at numbers just make teams that look good together, no one said she had to do meta damage.

You guys have been mindbroken by other games where the expectation is every new character is meticulously crafted to powercreep the previous ones. Maybe this game will eventually go that way because it's free money, but they're clearly still in their idgaf launch era of character designs.

Personally I rolled for Laevatain but not Gilberta and Yvonne, and will roll for Rossi but not Tangtang.
I want her (Birdwife) more than I want Fangyi, so right now it looks like I am rolling for one character per patch.
I hope I will have enough for everyone I want, with her being the main one, but it's rough right now despite how little I rolled.
