So many ID just work better with 1 more skill slot so things just flow better.
Barber Outis being able to click S1 twice the turn after an S2 actually makes her feel not shit using.
Contempt Awe Ryoshu being able to inflict the full 7 Gaze conditional from a S1 + S2 on the same turn while drawing into her now fueled S3-2 twice as quick, feels good.

I don't think the idea is to use the Boughs as a crutch for wish fulfillment. That seems to be what Hermann is heading for with her promising Ahab infinite whale hunts. I think Limbus is aiming towards accepting your imperfect reality and dealing with the issues that come your way.
