Game development takes a long time and often game announcements nowadays usually are for games that have only really started pre-production if that. The more expansive remakes like Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe and JSR were all probably just proof of concept vertical slices made to advertise job openings to interested devs rather than a confirmation that the games are actually coming.
