Those two are indeed the easiest. But to be fair, if you play expansion specific to the legendary enough, most of them aren't that hard to make. Accessory slots items tend to be the most demanding ones, like Vision, Orrax. And Tier 2 weapons from HoT. Everything else you mostly just play the game.

I think it’s to do with the randomness. Puggroids (I’m stealing this term) don’t actually know the mechanics of most encounters. They follow a specific list of actions that guarantee success which is not the same as doing the mechanics. OLC is too random for that to work so they shrug and give up while calling it the hardest eod strike.

Scarlet reverse engineered the ones that came from the evil asura protag to make hers (fun fact: humans reverse engineered those to make their first iteration of watch knights which scarlet then reverse engineered to fuck with them/improve her craft). They're functionally the same except Scarlet's ones stopped with her death. Alt evil asura protag dimension ones still leak into the world from time to time, but they're pretty localized and might be subject to the fading recursion thing that's happening to the awakened portals since the asura protag didn't actually turn evil. Without spoilers, can anyone tell me if there's ever a lore explanation as to why humans seem to be so prone to turning into ghosts? I thought it was an Ascalonian thing because the king used a ritual to turn his people into ghosts, but as the story progresses I keep seeing humans coming back as ghosts even far outside of Ascalon.

I expect that the answer is really just that ArenaNet already had ghost models on hand from making Ascalonian ghosts, so they kept reusing them.
