Devs fucked the timing on when 'confession day' was due to the actual date of valentines day versus when the event started, so it became too late to just 'unflag' girls you did just for the event rewards unless you did it on the first day of the event.

One of the ? info boxes for the event says the 'confession day' was supposed to be something like 24th, but then they swapped it to match valentines day, which was 1 day after the patch released. You were supposed to have ~10 days to give girls chocolate and 'unflag' them to pick your favorite, but the fucked up timing means you had like 9 hours to play around in the event and unflag people before they permanently locked the option to unflag after giving chocolate.
You still get your main girls chocolate as a house decoration, and literally no one is going to investigate your badges to find out you got wrecked by them fucking up the event timing.

I am not interested in Sumire and Akechi, so i should pull Rin. Do i need Matoi for her or is Howler ok?

Ok so i rechecked everything. I never did level 4 of the last boss, but now im missing 4 chocolates (have 6) and 1 girl i cant max out. I did the "heal the enemy" stage, and did all 3 challenge goals for each stage. Have not cleared the level 5 final boss but that doesn't reward chocolate, just a medal, unless it does? But other than that i have all event and boss mission goals done.
