Going second they can afford to run sphere mode and lava golem, since the skill doesn't xeno locks. They have a searchable discard 1 draw 2 spell, so even if they don't open them they can draw into them after thinning the deck.
They then can easily play through at least 2 disruptions in engine.

All previously tiered decks can't setup 3 interruptions that aren't monsters on the field.

Going first they either:
>Set up a board with 6 interactions
>Ftk (Has an Omni negates for 1 handtrap if opened optimally)
>Floodgates (Tyrant's tirade usually)

All the previous tiered decks can't deal with with any variant, and the only deck that can is Therion, which they can't tech against all of the variants at the same time.

If you want to KoG with an old tiered deck your only shot is that your opponent doesn't know how to play their deck since it just came out, in KC cup it's going to be 80% Therion with some d heroes and anti meta cancer sprinkled in.

Think I'm just not going to play character duels no matter how many respect orbs I could get from playing it. So fucking boring playing when every single player is playing a casual duel format like it's a tournament they need to win to get $10,000.

Plant lock only goes live if you set backrow with the field spell so using Mudan to search backrow can help you bypass it. Only thing to remember is that you need at least 2 Rikkas and MMZs free to tribure an opponent's monster for Tranquility with this, and that this doesn't proc Flurries for obvious reasons.

I'd expect Liquid, Drawhand or Dominance to get hit too. Without counting the skill, D.Heros generate a lot of card advantage. Dominance + Liquid is still a 2-card combo with easily searchable cards to search any 2 other cards at all in your deck. Even without the FTK, D.Heros can still search floodgates and disruption Turn 1 like Mask of Restrict, Tantrum, the one Solemn card we have, etc. They can even use Necrovalley at the end of their turn since they don't use their field zone for anything. The only reason they don't is because we currently have an infinitely better option.

The banlist is already too fat. They just need to take cards off and it will balance itself

Yes but it's not consistent unless you play the 20 card version, and the 20 card decklist can only play like 3-4 staples. Going second with that version is a death sentence most of the time.

But this alone is the problem combo. Draluxion needs to be put to 1, if not banned. It's a 2024 card that was released for modern meta, not Duel Links. A free search for anything within the archetype and then it can cheat out a Galaxy-Eyes Xyz with materials is crazy strong here. Letting it search into Primal for Transmigration is stupid. Primal is literally a year ago. It feels like primal itself was designed with the skill in mind, but they had to let it release in the TCG/OCG first. This wouldn't be the first time they did this either. Red-Eyes Slash Dragon was made for Duel Links, but released in the TCG/OCG for the same reason. I think the way it could be done is for Dragluxion, Photon Lord and Lava Golem to go to 1 and Titanic Galaxy, Tachyon Galaxy Spiral and Tachyon Transmigration to 3 (no more Nibiru or BoE)
I don't think it makes sense for Titanic Galaxy to be limit 1 and Photon Lord to be completely free. They should be switched around imo.

Has anyone every tried to mix Borreload Riot Dragon with Tachyon? You can summon Dualwield Dragon with Schwarzschild Infinity Dragon to search the ritual spell and I think you can search the ritual monster with the skill, Starliege Seyfert or Seventh Tachyon
