This card is trash even in the mirror match, and most of the time you lose your Zalen negate to protect its ass just to get fucked over by the rest of your opponent's hand. Most KT interruptions targets which is useless against Sky Striker especially when your opponent draws picrel (turn 1 or 2) because they play it at 3. And I'm not even talking about the grind game...

Its basically to get a resource loop down and use a combination of removal and negation to put resource the opponent. It doesn't OTK easily so the goal is usually to survive your first turn and maintain the loop of your big monsters coming back turn after turn, krosea and the trap getting back cards re establishing MST and the traps for disruptions until you've out resourced them. If they're summoning Stratos first it means they don't have anything else so always Ash that. However if they do A Hero Lives first you want to Ash that too because it either stops a HERO deck from doing what i did in my pic where i kept on extending to have everything I could want minuns Phoenix Enforcer on the field. Instead he wasted his Ash on my Adjusted Gold which I keep specifically for baiting and the rare times Malicious Banes field wipe/not being able to be beat down over comes in handy

oh based you're using last month's build. I do technically like it a little more. You're definitely picking some of the lower power picks and that's kewl with me better toolbox than the other builds of having really impactful fusions but once they're gone you're fucked. Not really? Elzette and azamina elzette already summon themselves from hand, if you use it for silvy or asteria the negated effect ruins it, being only able to summon synchros ruins synergy with azamina
Only the effect in grave sounds OK but there's no reliable way to get it to GY and woes and the lvl 4 synchro tuner already sorta do that
I don't really see much point in using it for white forest specifically

The side deck was clearly designed with an idea about 25 years ago, that idea being allowing your deck to NOT die to a bad match-up, allowing you to diversify your gameplan or even play something entirely different. You could also play localized counters at the cost of weakening your match-up against those decks.

It's only on recent years where people noticed it had become just a cluster of every single silver bullet in existence, Team APS and other yugitubers already talked about this about a year ago. Now every side deck is just silver bullet x9, floodgate x6. Also sometimes solemn judgment or niche counter traps simply to make your game 3 far more impossible to counter.

as a new player by the time you get to the point where picking a deck matters by having enough experience (few months/year) that deck is gonna be irrelevant, traptrix will make you suffer dracotail will give you shallow wins, i recommend looking gameplay videos i think there is a dedicated traptrix youtuber that gives decent insight for dracotail there are tons of videos you can watch to get an idea of the gameplay
tl;dr just be yourself it doesnt really matter
