Add a pushblock performed with 25% meter, gives you absolute guard (auto-block high/low/left/right) when you do it but you can only do it after already blocking something so the utility of that is situaitonal, and it also extends your blockstun by a fixed period allowing the enemy to bait it with a light and dash back in. I'd like 66L removed. BC is stronger and a bigger problem, but homogenized defense is better than homogenized offense.
Truth is: I don't think both those mechanics need to be removed. BC only needs to also cost 25% meter alongside the 1 gemmie, I think that alone would do wonders to the game.
66L could be a lot comfier if it had higher recovery, but even if it were perfectly balanced I still wouldn't like it. I like 66Hs because they're mostly unique to the character, 66Ms less so but they're ok.
I think the stuff that feels the most vestigial in Granblue are gemmies and RS. I feel like the game could lose that whole section.
As for new mechanics... I don't know.
It's probably insanely hard to come up with novel mechanics like Roman Cancel. Roman Cancel is stupidly fun, but what do you do then? just copy it 1:1?
DBFZ has this mechanic called Superdash. In any other game, it's probably the most kusoge shit ever. In DBFZ, it's fucking awesome because you are doing what they do in the anime..In that sense, whatever they go for, I hope its something from Granblue and has cool flair.

For example, Mom's buttons have more reach than average, but they are also slower than average and her being big bitch makes it easy to whiff punish her.

22X gets clipped by the laser, Ursula gets shot to pieces as well, and Ilsas's normals work at a similar range as Meg's.
