You know I actually like how this is acknowledged. Everyone since the Canto has pointed out Callisto is a really good weaponsmith all things considered. He was on the same tier as people with Relics and Mang rings without any of that, then we learn Tibia has all those human capabilities of evolution and plasticity.
It makes you question how much of his abilities have fallen off but the irony is that this technique wasn’t the issue, rather the artistic side proper.

With regard to Callisto’s works being considered “trash” nowadays, it’s because the rest of the Ring view Corporism as already being “fully explored” with no new themes that can be made of it. As a comparison, Ring Rodya’s “Dead Lake” work in her story is explained as pretty much interpreting the Great Lake’s grid arrangement as a pack of wolves. Just a basic metaphor for us, but just take it as something deep for the people in the setting.

All that said, Albina’s Fascia would have probably impressed the Ring given that it has the same theme of questioning what a human is, which Ruho touted as being one of the pursuits of Fauvist art.
