Wish MrPlague's Authentic Races weren't so poorly balanced. On one hand you have skeletons who can resurrect by dodging attacks successfully. Then you have soulbeasts who can't regenerate health or heal with potions. Wish I could recommend it for a server but it's only good for people who want to roleplay as furries on easier difficulties

really as long as whatever content mods we use 1: work, and 2: give meaningful new content that's not obnoxiously intrusive or completely ignorable, i'll be fine
it's obvious the main point of these servers is to play terraria with other 4chan users

picrel was the server's opinion of path of terraria; i was the one who posted a pair of comments on the workshop page
i rolled a melee only class on a rollchart so other players mileage may have varied in regards to weapon balancing, but for the rest of the mod, everyone generally had the same opinions as me
someone also taught me a new mean word from a foreign language so the server wasn't a total waste of time desu
as for the "we don't go to ravenholm" thing, there's this dimension travel feature that puts you in a separate world (that's not cleaned up after the last player in the instance leaves) and the one dimension we visited was Ravencrest, a town area
but instead of being full of zombies and headcrabs like its nickname's namesake, it was full of fetch quests and memory leaks
and at least two people on the server, me included, have played HL2

The more I mess with Convergence mods the more I realize people play a much different version of Terraria than I do

I've joined the world and started making some early game process. There's a lot of ores. Not enough to make full sets of armor, but should be able to make some weapons. Bombed some crimtane to make a good yoyo. The jungle was giving me hell. Also water walking boots by some miracle

I'm trying to come up with ideas on what to build for a beach settlement. I don't know if anyone's working on one currently, I haven't checked the server because I'm busy.

Should probably be on the east side because crimson is right on the board of the west coast and the dungeon is to the east. Plus we don't have many pylons there.

My current ideas are either a pretty standard boat (though I'd prefer not a pirate ship because I've built so many in the past) or something along the lines of the Zora hideout in Majora's Mask. Artificial spire that digs into the sand a little, and a giant clam on the inside for musical performances. No idea how I'd build it, though, or what materials I'd use. Nor how practical it would be

I think illuminant coating is gonna be the best choice for this. Would keep everything visible. I'll try that out later, but I also need to rip those gemspark walls out of the eye when I do which I'm not looking forward to.
