>What is Marvel Snap?
The GOTY CCG from the creators of Hearthstone. A deck is 12 card singleton. Players play 6 simultaneous turns to 3 lanes. Winning 2 lanes wins the match. Matches are played for ladder ranks (cosmic cubes) and players can SNAP once per match to double the stakes (max 8 cubes).
>What is a card series?
Cards unlock in a random order, but specific cards are unlocked within specific collection level (CL) ranges: Series 1 cards (CL 18-214), Series 2 (222-474), and Series 3 (474+). Series 4 (Rare) and 5 (Super Rare) cards can be purchased directly with Collector’s Tokens that can also be used to buy Series 4 or 5 Snap Packs that are cheaper but dole out random cards from certain pools.

Upgrade every card you get to green rarity (frame break) ASAP. Spend the rest of your credits how you like.

Wow. Real thinker that one. It's almost as puzzling as why do so many redditors seem to love a deck that makes zero decisions, doesn't ever consider locations or the actions of its opponent, has braindead simple snap/retreat timing and was also tier 0 at the same time.

Not sure what you can do to balance the deck. Maybe Moondragon helps it, but right now the points ceiling is just too high for Doom 2099, but if you buff it to compete it just becomes the best thing to do in the game like it used to be. Brain dead decks are always popular for snap in general. Look at Shou. You only need your combo by turn 6 and you can win most games. Other than that you just play the deck normally. Xball was another example to where you can checkmate by turn 3/4.

No way Moondragon helps it, consider your optimal line is something like Chamber-(energy maker, either Electro or Hope Summers or even Jennifer Kale if you're desperate) - Doom2099 - Doom - Odin
If you have a single 5+ cost card in your hand, Chamber outscales anything Moondragon was trying to do, and it gets worse the more big cards you have in your hand (which there's probably a few given you're a deck that wants to curve just 1 card at a time)

People were trying Goliath in Doom 2099 when he came out and she could easily take his spot. Magus could potentially go in as well as redundancy if Doom 2099 is your only 4 cost. You'd go Quicksilver, Moondragon, Magus, skip turn 4 and get Doom guaranteed. Problem with that of course is that you lose the Moondragon proc on turn 4 and Magus doesn't make a Doombot since you didn't play anything that turn.

There's many different kinds of bots.
But mainly you should focus on your winrate. The game has a forced 50/50 winrate percentage. The game will utilize every kind of rng to manipulate it.
There's so much the bots do these days I can't be arsed to make a list. You're simply being manupilated in every game and once you see the matrix, the game is ruined for you. Ignorance is bliss.

If you draw him and zola you've basically won. Can skip playing anything until t4 and by t6 you can play entire hand.
He's good in high evo, but this deck is gonna get things nerfed.
I honestly think anything but star lord is good this season, but 25usd for two cards is still a good value in this economy.

I'm worried, I've faced multiple opponents like this where I can't tell if it's a bot or not at all. It feels like they are the cheating bots, but since this deck has such consistent massive power, they can't do anything and since they aren't programmed to lose, they can't retreat.
This is a good example, I let it win one location, goes through with the obvious loss for an 8cuber.

I'd expect this more. Losing the power gain would be the kind of nerf I don't think I could imagine them doing. It's like a complete reworking of the card at that point. Dropping his power to zero isn't exactly a good idea either since that would make him prime Negative bait and discounted by Revona. I don't think they can really hit him that hard since he's the big season pass card. Bumping him to five cost I think is about as much as they may do.

Probably 70% winrate, left everytime someone snapped t1, every arishem, wong, negative, zgalactus.
Cheating bots stood no chance, they are broken in the sense they can't retreat if outpowered.
Faced tech like 7 times, no one likes playing cuckrage decks, so that's good, it's sandcastle vs sandcastle.
Definitely 5cost nerf to MotS. The t5 play of snowballing the energy is what's broken.
It's the same way if you have negative out on t3, guaranteed win.

One of the big problem with the current meta trio (starlord FFF and shou) is that they simply invalidate any play you make. There's simply no point in playing against them unless you're specifically playing a combo deck that goes BIG (Think negative) or you go full tech slop (which is still the problem of one player being invalidated)
Shou is like a 5/20 with minimal effort so why even try to match it? Most decks need to do more to get out power like that.
FFF literally makes it so your frontline's power doesn't actually matter like what's even the point in playing anything with good stats if its going in the front?
Starlord is just straight comboslop and there's no reason to stay if you see them play it and jump to like 8 energy unless you really want to risk it.
Think about what decks were considered even remotely good last year, They're all completely powercrept by these cards.
Vhand? Lol. Move? Hope you high roll human torch hard as fuck. Discard? Lmao. Destroy? Maybe knull + zola can power through. Zombie anything? Lol. Negative? Can win if you get lucky but there's no point when can do the same thing as starlord but without needing the luck. Afflict? Lol. Scream? Lol.
Few notes about starlord specifically

it's not just Merlin, even without him there's critical mass of easy 1-drops that you can use to ensure shou triggers for +12 easily - Kitty Pryde, Prowler, all the various spells and other good 1drops like Iceman
even though it's KM "buy an ad" best, I think he was right when he said the problem is the fact that it's duplicatable. if Scarlet Spider and Maverick were both out of the equation nobody would be saying "wow shou lao is too good" even though a 5/16 or 5/19 would still be really good, it's the fact that 12-15 of that power is then copied into another lane
the best shou lao decks don't all run Merlin, but they do ALL run Maverick

Shou is literally not ok at all. As long as Shou exists they basically can't print cheap spells or bounce stuff because Shou's pay off is too big. I DO think merlin should just lose his scaling since really he doesn't need to be a big guy as well but its two separately strong cards.

I also agree that cards that multiply either power or effects need a look at but I also dislike nerfing perfectly fine old cards (even if I never liked zola) because of poorly designed new ones. Realistically they need to hit these new cards that can just scale to an infinite level which not only solves the problem but also lowers the power ceiling of the game overall. KM is a smart guy but I do feel like sometimes he misses the forest for the trees. Hearing his recent podcast with guest where he just did not understand why playing 3 tech cards solely to beat 1 card is unhealthy is baffling or how even if starlord is "counterable" its still just not providing a healthy gameplay experience and even if shou is stronger that it doesn't mean starlord is "fine". It's easy to get into. And they give you a decent amount to start you off. But card acquisition is slow once you reach the settled in phase. The games are pretty quick and there's enough card variety that you can build a lot of stuff. Give it a try and see what you think.

This is why I hate sanctum. Limited attemps to play and when I do, I get destroyed by cl 2000 players because I am "big spender" so I'll buy resources to recover.
Every single sanctum has been like this, can't win with any deck. If I go for an reactive deck, I get bots that just plays around it and I end up losing.
It's the only mode that does this, the others are a piece of cake, extremely easy and underwhelming.

lol I saw that earlier. Very "fork found in kitchen" tier. Its so crazy he originally thought shou was "fine" and only needed a small nerf snd that targeting merlin would stop it only for people to just say fuck it and put shou into everything. This is the type of thing that proves shou actually needs to get killed and not just slightly nerfed to a reasonable level since as long as its better than other decks payoff it'll always be used over them and as long as shou is decent that'll always be the case.

Yeah new drax needs a ban. The fact that it will actively try to win the lane each turn means you can't even play anything reasonably big in the sanctum lane. Kinda ends up feeling a bit like a must have for the mode.
