If you're in in purely for efficiency and not class fantasy, Crusader still does a better job because of easy access to holy element and self heals where as knight you are either spamming bowling bash or autoattacking and alt tabbing

Crusader is pretty strong by itself, it hits as hard if not harder than knight honestly, mostly because most of the game is weak to Holy element, which crusader has access for free.
The support side of the build can still help you, having access to Heal and Defender Aura is already a big plus, since you can use those for yourself.

Tk ranker has very good dps but has the most intense key piano to spam of all classes
Very squishy until geared + hits level 90
Personally I wouldn't recommend starting with one, but waiting until you have cards and gear to make the journey less painful.

SG is... not really recommended. A lot of its buffs are tied to what day it is, specific maps and monsters you can mark but are very limited in. If you have outfits it's a different story. But I'm assuming you lack them.

Soul Linker is a bolter with an extra button to press between spam but damage is very solid and you cover all elements. If you want to bolt and don't have the suno outfits this is your best pick.

But as with all casters it will feel bad until you get high dex.

What are non costume characters to make? I want to party then drop until I get enough for costume rewards next season

It's only 20% for Grand Cross and 20% for Holy Cross on top of the 30% from Marine Sphere. It can't be that bad right?

HC primarily uses Ahls, which means you are cut off from easy damage boosts via runes
That's why AA matters a lot, even if its on top of an existing 30% bonus

And unlike the % dmg boosts vs race and property, it works immediately vs all mobs while the others are more of a slow build to your general effectiveness

You're probably good to go for a good while, start getting cards that give you ASPD or % dmg / % dmg reduction, or just the flat +stats.
You can probably kill AA but it's better if you farm him with Dark Frame, a good way to fight it is to damage the mobs around it without kill them so he uses the heal on them instead of on itself, since its heal is the toughest thing to get around.
If you get an Angeling rune it makes it a lot easier so he doesn't dmg you with GC or Holy Attribute Attack.
Also you can use status effects on mini-bosses on this server, although I'm not sure which could be good against Arc Angeling, but that's part of the fun of trying stuff out.

CCRO is fine. The [problem] is that multiclient is allowed which means you will likely not find people to play with until you reach late level like 80+. Another problem it poses is that it bypasses all the 'vanilla' limitations you'd have with your class since everyone just have their own pocket priest to boost themselves.
And the last problem is that it secludes the playerbase, since the regulars already have all they need they'll only accept you if you play a very optimized classe in their groups or guilds, that's what we call [cliques]. Basically people that have only been playing with their little discord group for years. Though they're technically a non-issue until you reach late-game and want to farm MVP cards yourself so you'll have to compete against them because of the respawn cooldowns considering that they track them very closely.

As far the bots I don't know from where this idea came from, I haven't seen one myself even in the last season. But I'm just one guy so maybe they're here, but even if it's true bots are a non-issue when there's barely 200 people playing.

Everyone is going to run into a gravestone. When they want to kill the boss they will pay the coins to spawn the boss until they get what they need or run out of coin. There is nothing restricting you from spawning it yourself, even if other players are.

In this game its expected that you wont be able to do bosses for free because free runs of the bosses are camped on cooldown so if you want a item that drops from a boss you're going to have to pay money to respawn them with this premium currency these "card coins" if you want to fight a boss and keep buying more card coins until you get the drop you want or run out of money in ur bank account to buy more card coins?
