Well, It could be slightly better after the bit of a fumble that the start of CROB was with the main update, I didn't care too awful much and didn't play any of that cycle, but now with CRK's big anniversary alongside TBD update is showing to be a LOT better! Been liking how it's going so far, hope they keep it more consistent and less of a banger and then meh stuff!

Eh, even if it wasn't the beast cookies the chances of something new were incredible. The dragons were already foreshadowed for years ever since Pitaya cookie first showed up (I doubt they will be happy about the existence of the moldy cookies either) and Timekeeper cookie and the TBD have been eyeing the Kingdom timeline for a while too. It was pretty obvious they would both get involved eventually. I also feel it's too early to get rid of the beast cookies. This is the end of Dark Enchantress arc, it doesn't necessarily mean the Beasts should go too. There whole thing is that they are mad at the witches but we have seen the witches they communicated with at all. There is still a lot of potential to explore there. Becoming bugs also relates to the original concept for them, they are actually becoming beasts now instead of cookies with the title of "Beast".

Anon, Burning Spice's crash out wasn't because "lul bored" - that's just the surface level claim he makes because he can't/refused to articulate his growing displeasure with the state of the world. Burning Spice lost it because he was stuck watching civilizations grown and change and grow and then wither out and die, or crash and burn in the same way. He said it himself, how everything was changing and yet not changing at all despite that, repeating the same cycle over and over for eons on end. The problem is he thought purely in the sense of his role as someone who brought change and observed it happening, but did not intervene in the cycle of said change - instead opting to let civilizations live and die under their own merits. It's why he fucking hates Golden Cheese Cookie so much, because he's projecting onto her and is seething that she managed to break the same cycle of her civilization ending that he thought was inevitable (because unlike her, he never bothered to directly intercede and preserve any society he built up rather than let them die).

All of the Beasts have these issues. They think purely in terms of their roles and have IMMENSE difficulty viewing things outside of them, so when shit happened that they couldn't solve through weight of their Virtue alone and without the First Witches to guide them, they snapped. It's especially bad for Shadow Milk, because as a being made to know all, his purpose may as well be moot when he can't even explain what happened to his creator or why they were made.

He is the drunk jester Fortunato, while Silent Salt is the vengeful Montressor. His "turn the world into the chaos for the witches to notice him" is the Amontillado drink. Silent Salt essentially lures him into his downfall (aka the sealing of the wall) and Shadowmilk will never know why.

That was only the second batch of witches who did that, and the game seems to be insistent that DE killed them all during the Witches Banquet. The First Witches (barring First Egg) wouldn't even think of consuming cookies like they did.

Dark Enchantress had to do it via a combination of her immense mastery of Black Magic + draining all the Soul Jams + having an oven to toss her mortal shell into in order to "bake" her new body. And even then, it seems fundamentally unstable and like it's constantly on the cusp of falling apart, which fits with how Dark Enchantress states that what she's going to become will be "neither Witch, nor cookie". She's closer to the Unfathomable in nature than she is a true Witch.

I don't think the First Witches could do the same. Both because it would require indulging in levels of Black Magic that would corrupt their minds and souls by default to even start, and it wouldn't even really create a stable 'human' body, just a warped parody that violates the laws of nature. I also don't think they'd WANT new non-cookie bodies if that's the price they'd have to pay.

Something I feel the need to note is that the Korean version apparently more or less confirms that SM was the one who led to the corruption of the other Emissaries, which was theorized but had no explicit confirmation until now. It makes him losing it hit harder since it means he tormented Earthbread possibly for millennia, caused the fall of his sibling deities, and it all ended up being for nothing since the First Witches never even noticed (because they were fucking dead). It also further justifies Silent Salt stabbing the absolute shit out of him.

After experimenting with her for a bit, i think she's fine. Her main gimmick is "how many debuffs can I apply on the enemy to make DE's nuke hit harder?". The problem is Dragontongue brand fucking kills her if she runs by herself so you need Venom dough cookie to stop that shit and if you are running Venom dough, you obviously want Mold dough too for the full Mold trio buffs. They basically buff DE immensely while debufffing the enemy against chaos damage for one big Poison-Chaos combo. It's the best option for Chaos-content if you can't bring other legenderies/beasts/ancients/witches. Ideally, even with Venom Dough cookie, you still want a healer. Pomegranate Cookie fits since she gains even more heals with her new magic candy and also she also buffs DE (again this is assuming only one legendary+ cookie is allowed) if we ever get a Chaos raid, Chaos guild battle, or something else that restricts the team to Chaos only. This seems like the ideal team.
