Not sure how I feel about needing 2 copies to upgrade 1 unit up one rarity and there being 6 rarities with the gacha stopping at the 4th one, other 2 look like dupes are mandatory to get there. I understand that it's just another version of how gachas reward players for having dupes or make it part of getting that last bit of power to clear something but, rarity impacts party wide buffs.

I would have paid 5 or 10 bucks to get rid of the ads permanently, but locking it and 2x speed behind a battle pass is some bullshit

It's even worse, there are tiers within the higher rarities. There seem to be generic fusion materials you can get for units you already have kind of like Pokemon Masters, but I doubt this game is anywhere near that generous in actually handing them out

Unless I missed any, that's 9 ads a day. Ads are usually at least a minute long, I had one fucking ad for the shitty Wizardry gacha that went for 2 and a half minutes. Some of the ads open google play pages, other ads put buttons underneath the close button to try and make you mis-tap and engage with them (which should be a policy violation honestly).
Oh and 1 ad to revive in the middle of any stage if you die. That's a lot of watching ads in this game to get a pittance of rewards.
Gacha seems stingy as fuck too, 3 days in now and I've gotten about 80 tickets for the basic shit gacha with only the lowest two tiers of units in it, then 20 or 30 tickets for the mid tier gacha with UR units at worse rates than the other gachas, and then 1-3 tickets for various other specific gachas. Meanwhile I haven't even hit 6000 diamonds (20 pulls) yet for pulling in the primary gachas with the limited special units and the non-shit rates. Oh and when you start the game you immediately get bombarded with like 15 different offers for $100 packs of tickets and currency.
So the monetisation is completely fucked. As a survivors game? It's not very good either, your damage and health are 90% decided by your grinding levels in menus outside of actual gameplay, so you get fucked in-game for not being a high enough level through enemies being insurmountable damage sponges even when you have all your shit maxed out in a stage.
And of course better gacha units means doing better in the stages. No endless mode unlocked yet either. No story to the game at all either, just a glorified tutorial character and some simplistic bios to accompany the medabots when you get them.
Basically it's shit all around.

Its nice to see medabot designs again without having to jump through fan translations.
I could not believe the nostalgia hit I got when the robattle music played. I didn't realize how ingrained that theme is in my head.
Game is... ok. its annoying because I can see the potential for a real medabots game in there.
I haate daily grind mobile games. but I'll stick with it for the launch. once the novely has worn off, I'll play it whenever I feel like playing a survivor like game. which isn't never...
