The FRLG chiptune soundfont is a million times better than LGPE's garage band orchestra. The Wild Pokemon, Trainer Battle, and Gym Leader battle especially are extremely noticeable. They're rightfully intense in FRLG while in LGPE they sound like a Midis from a youtuber with triple digit views.

I wanted to love LGPE, I was able to get over the non battle catching a Pokemon BS but I wish it had either kept Sun/Moon style graphics or even X/Y, the art style just sucks.
What kills any replayability is that it doesn't even know if it wants to be a remake or a reboot and it's neither. It tells the original story except the characters from the original story are there and show up as NPCs.
It would've been far cooler had it been a new story and you met Red / Green etc like you did and just slightly altered the story. Or they should've just kept it a straight up remake.

The one-two punch reveal of LGPE and SwSh back-to-back was the most genuine humiliation ritual this franchise had ever seen.
