Consider that I lucked out and got Anni gloria, Irida and Red + Giratina Volo.
(And I kinda haven't played before that so those are my only 'good' units) and with those i practically cleared every content in the game besides, obviously, towers.
Towers are locked because muh "no dummy you have to use a PHYSICAL psychic type pokèmon" I COULD go for Emma, she looks decent as a physical poison so I can climb the poison ladder with Irida but is it really worth for just a few gems? So I was just trying to get something that's generally good more than focussing on what I miss, all my towers beside ghost are stuck at 14 or 15 so anything could be worth for either that or gym battles.

96 Red seems pretty broken on it's own even without proper support, dude has all 5 unit types in him and a NUKE that puts Champion May to shame

Red and Snorlax are a good support with sync reduction and super effective up on your choice, with their Max move giving all his TMs an extra refresh.
Akari is the only good physical Dark unit at the moment

Alders grandson whatever his name is has EX Bug and makes Arc Alder an obliterator
Making a selection generally depends on what you actually need or if your trying to clear tower floors. Outside of that, If youv been keeping up with masterfairs or Arc suits, your generally safe to pick whoever you like the most.

If it's just to clear some floors, no. I believe Oleana has a physical sync, and can also apply rebuff while dropping stats fast. You want to keep an eye on units that people are using to clear the very top floors of tower in most cases. You can also hang on to the pity until you get all the daily tickets from logging in, you might end up getting someone with the guaranteed tickets every 5 days at least.

Was like Bertha must have been Floor 28 or something but she is a Floor 24, come on now anons, play it with normal Electric Terrain instead, plan the syncs and chip/inbetween sync damage on sidemons, you just need Overwhelm Blue, Cakewalk Static Shock Red and a side damage dealer or terrain enabler of choice, Volkner does both. It carries you at Floor 27 aswell. Ground damage is not a threat with debuffs and Volkner only has to be consistent enough with his own and Blue heals while doing Wild Charge damage and gaining flinch momentum. Of course having basic skill gear should be a given.

He is one of the best units in the game, he's one of the best cases of role compression in the game. He offers a lot of different utility while also doing massive damage
He'll function at 1/5 but any unit you're using extensively you want to be at least 3/5. Getting them isn't that hard though, there are various sources for candy coins over time, you need 20 coins for 1 candy, 1 candy adds 1 dupe to a unit. And if you're brand new you can reset until you get a start you prefer, either multiple copies of Red or Red + 1 or more of the other good units available right now

My biggest gripe with Blue was the stupid EX role they gave him, it should have been Sprint or Field. No one is using this motherfucker to do damage.

Just do the story and you'll have enough to get him and a few dupes if you're lucky. They're also giving away Blue + Zapdos at the moment who's a great support to pair him with.
A lot of the content expects you to have a variety of teams of different types, roles etc. so you can't exactly steamroll everything with him but he's number 1 in utility at the moment so that's a start.
