i genuinely want this so bad
>but it wouldn't work!
make it work

>retarded
The normies are actually right in this case. GF clearly doesn’t care about keeping up with the times in terms of graphics so they should’ve just stuck with 2d instead of this retarded halfassed 3d
If pokemon used heavily stylized and detailed 2d like a lot of indie games the games would look polished and modern instead of looking 20 fucking years old on RELEASE lmao

Reminder that the same people who want Pokemon to return to a 2D style are the same dumbasses who hated BDSP when it came out for precisely that reason

This is literally true though. But it's not about some places being higher level, it's the fact that you can skip to the higher level places, and then just steamroll all the lower level places after. That's no fun

You don't train more than one mon in nuGen, everything else in your parry just gets free levels from exp share without you training them
Gym leaders at least should scale with the amount of badges you have
>>
>>58994629
I will never understand the normie CLAMORING we see about certain countries being turned into Pokemon regions.
The desire made some sense 10 years ago where a lot of regions aesthetics, locations, and pokemon roster were all angled around the location they chose, but they've rly moved away from that imo and just kind of use a real world for some cheap cultural references and maybe 2-3 pokemon lines

Yes you do. In fact nugens are the only games where you train more than one Pokemon.
Still waiting for you to refute this btw

Almost like you gotta train it first, you dumb nigger
>>58996781
They could just make the gyms challenging at every stage though

HD-2D is hideous but most of the shit on top is nothing special either. Especially the bottom right ones that look like one of those Gameloft mobile games from 2004.
The Mystery Dungeon and Ranger games were the real ideal for 2D Pokemon.

Now you're going to imply Game Freak had a cool unique artsy style and that their pixel art games weren't generic-mobile-game-styled in the first place

I've seen a lot of people who only play on switch/shift instead of set and then complain that pokemon games are too easy. Yes most of them are too easy, but regardless of whether you're playing XY with xp share on or are nuzlocking Platinum or USUM, if you play on easy mode and refuse to switch to normal mode but still complain about the lack of challenge, you're a retard.

I just want sprite and pixel art based Pokemon games again. On a comfy handheld that actually fits in my tiny baby hands.

These look hideous however

What SV needed was smarter map design
>a wild pokemons level is determined by how far they are from the starting location
>gym leaders change their teams based on the number of badges you have before facing them
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>59000878
>>59000885
They don't even need to make early game teams teams for any of the gyms.
The endgame gym leader should have an endgame team and that's all you get to challenge.
But if you have more badges, the Weenie-Hut-Jr. bug type gym leader should be allowed to pull out more than a lv.10 caterpie and a lv.12 cascoon
>>
>>
>>59000831
so, just so we're clear, the games weren't easier because you played on set instead of shift, they were in fact easier because you overleveled a single pokemon, which you could have still done while playing on shift.
>>
>>
>>59001082
okay so just to clarify. just to make sure. you played on set mode, and the games were easier, but does that mean they were easier because you played on set mode? because from the way you describe it, it sounds like the games were easier because you overleveled a single pokemon.. but, you could have played on shift, and still overleveled a single pokemon, yes?

>pokemon hasn't changed since the beginning, it needs to innovate, every new release should be radically different to the last
idk why people level this complaint at pokemon so often when this is just how every video game series is

>what if they took the hollow knight or cuphead approach and make it have a 2d animated artstyle with hand painted backgrounds
Making a pokemon game in cuphead style would probably cost upwards of a hundred million

I'd be happy with an HD-2D remake of a pokemon game, it beats getting yet another 3D remake that shrinks everyone down to doll proportions.
