She's a very proud trainer who's unaccustomed to losing to anyone but her champion cousin, and she proceeds to lose to a child. As an adult myself, it's more amusing than infuriating watching her behave like that. It's unpresented and unbecoming but not beyond an adult, which is the point: everyone has room to grow.
Clair is probably my fav after Jasmine.

Obviously I first played GS when I was 10, my opinion of her has evolved to what it is now at 35.

>Hi, I'm Inpy Cee, the mega evolution researcher here in the Blabla region!
>something something mega evolve pokemon that can normally evolve further!
>But for some reason, they can only mega evolve if they've been exposed to these New Super Everstones(tm).... Whenever you find a Pokemon that can't naturally evolve because of it, you'll be able to see an icon in the party menu!
>If your partner pokemon isn't evolving when you think they should, they might have been exposed to Super Everstone(tm), but you can come to me and I can remove the Super Everstone(tm) effect from them so they can evolve.
>But remember! They can't Mega Evolve if you have it removed! You'll have to re-apply the effect!
There. Happy?
