You are sperging far too hard and far too much over these. Go watch a youtube playthrough of the whole thing, see IS it exactly what you fucking want. Or is it a case where $20 is a month's wages for you, in which case, save your money, keeping a roof over your head's more important than pissing a month's money away on a 24 year old video game.

Because it's a wireless adapter that would enable wireless trading like the Switch does

>original GBA releases were rated E
>switch ports are rated E10+
And do you know what that means, professor? THEY'VE BEEN RE-RATED!

Because you can trade from a GBA cartridge to an emulator running a rom. Fucking Gamefreak being outdone by piracy YET AGAIN.
This would have been a way to make sure Gen 3 compatibility is never lost after Bank shuts down.
Guess I'll have to backup my saves and upload them to the Switch versions.

>you can trade to an emulator coded to pretend to be a gen 3 era wifi connector
>this means Game Freak should have tried to get a dinosaur piece of tech talking to a modern tablet so technologically advanced they barely could imagine its formfactor in 2002 when they began coding the game in question
Jesus, I've seen some mitwit takes on /vp/ in almost 16 years, but this is right up there for "most retarded statement of all-time". The fact alone any Switch cart could hold hold over a THOUSAND GBA games (not that there was that many different ones released naturally) should tell you the level of technology they're dealing with far outstrips what the GBA could concieve. Besides, they repurposed the wifi connector gubbins for the Switch's innate wifi so switch owners could trade locally. It's already in use talking to things that are pretending to be the wifi dongle.

Did you happen to also think that the wireless adapter and the wireless built into the Switch are on completely different frequencies and protocols? Or did you just think "they both do wireless packet transfers so that should allow me to connect them"?
Because right now you sound like a clueless retard.

Yes they could have easily made the two versions compatible, retard. In fact I bet someone will do exactly that over the next few months.
And again, it's not like this would have been just a neat thing. It's future proofing for when Bank shuts down.

No they couldn't because the wifi adaptor is of a framework so simple and obsolete that Switch doesn't in fact support communicating with it. They did the next best thing jury-rig the existing code to recognise the switch as a wifi adapter and trade with other "wifi adapters" in range, those that were Switches running FRLG and pretending to be the adapter to trade. You ARE an all-timer, give yourself a gold star and a cookie for this. I'm just disgusted no-one's gonna give enough of a fuck to rightly turn you into the meme you're acting.
