>Battlepass with some lock rewards that give mons and megastone early, and maybe cosmetic
Pokémon can be gotten randomly from the ranch or by using recuit ticket and waiting.
>F2p has 30 slots box
which should be enough if you are not mobile only plebs (unless they do something stupid like dream park for Gen 3-4)
Those seem like a non-issue unless you are mobile-only plebs
Things that might worry me:
> All mon show in the trailer are max IV
Either IV is removed, or if you want a specific IV, you need to send it from Home.
>No mention of the price of the held item in the shop
. This will make or break the game for me, due to how grindy it is to get the held items needed.

I thin the initial grind will be a little rough but eventually you'll just have infinite resources with hardly anything to spend it on. There are only so many viable mons and held items that you'd realistically need.

You know what... I just realised this game is just... BattleFrontier.
Itis set in Frontier Town, and the Mayor has a Daughter that is the master of the Arena.
It explains so much. The ranch randomness and lack of IV from them is just Battle Factory again.

>F2p has 30 slots box
You will most likely be able to keep buying more box space with VP. Every mobile game with an inventory limit typically lets you unlock more space with currency. I doubt extra slots only comes from the subscription.

I am a bit worried about the battle pass and the rewards i need to see how it is structured and what’s the final reward, it will be really bad for my autism if it gives you stuff you can send to home the only games with battle pass that i play are
Fortnite
>200 levels to get everything but only 100 if you want the final skin
>usually pretty easy to get everything in 2 weeks gets easier as the season ends
Rocket league
>300+ tiers
>exp is shit even with the improvements they’ve made
>if you only play casually you’ll barely make it to 100
>every tier after 100 is just the same repeating shit in different colors
I hope the rewards are just like clothes for your trainer and pokemon inside champions, if a reward was something like a spiky eared pichu that can be sent to home and then to gen 10, that would force me to play a lot more

Not sure if I should be interested or not mechanically. The battles without a sense of adventure seem like a bit uninteresting.
At least we get new characters.

>mega metagross with heavy slam and psychic fangs
I wouldn't be surprised if they nerfed this monster by getting rid of tough claws

>body press m-aggron
>nasty plot m-gengar
>finally learning all the ZA mega abilities
I'm just hyped to PLAY the game. I don't give a shit about all these crybabies throwing a fit over microtransactions.

I'm surprised there's push back against the idea of IVs basically being removed from the game. Who would've though of using 0-3 IV dark Urshifu in trick room or 29 iv speed Incineroar outside of hyper specifics?

Removing IV means fewer variants, and reduces the number of tactics too.
It will make the game easier to access for casual players. But if they really want to do that, they have to apply it to the mon transfer from HOME too.

Champions is on mobile so it will have a lot of GO players. GO uses a different IV system so it would be unfair for them to fight against perfect mons from other games. Same can be said for transfers from stuff like FRLG which is much more difficult to get specific IVs.

I am praying that IVs are removed. I love running Trick Room and hate how much of a burden it is having to get low IV Pokemon. Or rather how it basically forces me to hack as opposed to a standard 5IV attacker that you can throw together in game in a few minutes. Yes, losing IV granularity will lose some advanced strategies, but we got by fine with the loss of level 48 Pokemon when everything was normalized to 50, we'll get by fine without Lonely Stakataka or 27 speed IV Amoongus.

They could hand wave it away with an in-universe explanation that every Pokemon in the Champions arena is hyper trained to its maximum potential because of "reasons" and when they return home they revert to their regular strength.

it takes less than 5 minutes to get literally any breedable 0 speed IV pokemon in SV
