i think itll be earlier in 2027, based on how much we saw. compare it to the legends games: PLA was a pokemon day reveal for a january-next-year launch and we saw in-engine footage of the starters and region. PLZA was a pokemon day reveal for an october-next-year launch and its trailer was fully animated. we actually saw more in ww's reveal than sv's. on that basis, i dont think its insane to expect its marketing timeline to look similar to sv's. we got sv's second trailer on june 1, so a similar time around summer for ww feels reasonable to me

Probably. I mean, this place assumed we COULDN'T go a whole actual year without L: Z-A news and then we went a whole actual year as they'd pushed it all back until 2025 (and had told us such). They said it's 2027 but I'm already seeing cope from spergs grasping "it must be EARLY 2027" because they need to keep churning out shitty youtube content piggybacking off it (delighted, death to all pokétubeniggers) or are suffering poké-cold turket and getting the sweats/shakes. I assumed it was going to be late '27 when I saw the date. If it comes earlier, great but otherwise I'm prepared for a whole year of nothing, unlike /vp/ seemingly.

yeah, these games aren't coming out til november of 2027 which means the marketing campaign for them will begin in the summer of 2027 so the big game for this year and next will be Pokemon Champions a game that will introduce the concept of Dynamax and Z moves to people who skilled gen 7 and gen 8 as the omni ring has both gimmicks on there with terr and mega, odds are showing mega and terra now is because they want to save z moves and dynamax for post release, there will probably be some form of marketing alola and galar again in early 2027 during Pokemon Day

long story short, as far as wi/wa goes yes we will be radio silent on those at least til Summer of next year

I can see it being straight Tera/Mega meta up to WW release, where they'll probably add that gimmick (symbol's in the Japanese logos) then maybe Z-Moves and Dynamax when they're readying up Legends: Galar to add the new Gmax monsters in (just hope I can finally turn my shiny Melmetal into a Gmaxmetal there).

While I kinda expect radio silence from Game Freak, I do hope they polish up everything and not rush it. I still haven't played Legends ZA but from what I hear it's pretty good. And I genuinely hope they improve upon a lot of the gameplay from Scarlet and Violet and actually make it even more immersive. Because even with Scarlet and Violet's bugs (I still haven't bought a Switch 2 so I didn't experience the upgrades) it had elements I enjoyed.

You’d think it’s Goomba fallacy, but so many fucking content creators (YouTube, podcasts, etc.) that complained that SV needed another year in the oven and have said for years how Pokémon needs more time are all complaining now that WW is so far away. It’s usually Goomba, but this situation is genuine hypocrisy among so many people. (Probably because their jobs require more Pokémon content flow to stay relevant)

I think there’s a large group of people that were willing to give it another year, which would be 2026. The 2027 date is unexpected, and will be 2 years longer than the average dev time. So I think it’s a case of “wahh I wanted more time, but not THIS much more time,” as logically 2026 made the most sense (Gen 10 for 30th anniversary)

I'm assuming the big sellers this Christmas season is gonna be Zelda related, since it's the 40th Anniversary of the series this year. There will at least be ports of WW/TWP/SS to the Switch 2. We might get a HD port of OoT/MM 3D. A full on modern remake of OoT/LttP/NES is not off the table. A Zelda themed Switch 2 is all but assured. A Top Down Zelda Collection with a limited availability window is possible ala Mario All-Stars 3D may or may not happen. I hope that ALBW is freed from the 3DS. It deserves to be playable on modern hardware.

Probably we'll get something during the world championship, or at the very least around the summer time frame. Everything else is a bit of a mystery, but I expect a march releas, sot that would put the marketing cycle to start around october-november

I really think it's going to release early next year. They wouldn't have shown so much if they were 18 months away from release. We'll probably get news starting in the fall.
