It'll be good in smogon for sure but i'd rather peel my toenails off one by one than play showdown in 2026 and no one plays smogon on real hardware

Expanding force is slightly worse than psychic unless its used while on psychic terrain, in which case it becomes a spread move(and I think it also doesn't get hit with the slight damage reduction that spread moves get, since its not technically a spread move, but idk that might be misinfo)
Delphox will not get the benefits of psychic terrain since it Levitates

giving inceneroar intimidate was a huge mistake because despite being obviously oppressive like OG gale wings they can't directly nerf intimidate without completely upending the balance of the game and fucking over a huge number of pokemon in the process. Imo they should just bite the bullet and change his ability to something less fucking cancer.
They did it with Gengar and he deserved it far, far less.

Even when Game Freak decides to NOT subvert expectations a Pokemon gets fucked over.
Because of this Incineroar will get two more moves it never needed.

It doesn't really, but megas are a dogshit mechanic that restricts you to using one of the best two available megas in the metagame, the third one may be an option if you're Wolfe
Any other mega is worthless

Reality is that most people, myself included, are still sorta stuck in the gen 4-6 era of competitive in terms of mindset, Earthquake is the strongest move ever, Swampert and Vaporeon are giga powerful, Garchomp is the strongest pokemon ever, etc. etc.
Can be hard to keep up with the times when every new generation tries its best to make the new pokemon so overtuned that it renders all old pokemon obsolete.

Just have Intimidate not work on types the Intimidator is weak to, that keeps it on theme (can scared those who know they have the advantage) and nerfs the cat to near uselessness since everyone and their mother has a Ground, Fighting and/or Water type

Mega Delphox + Indeedee is actually a good starting point for a team. I'm pretty sure Delphox gets Expanding Force and could dish out big damage. You can also add a Trick Room element. This is a very common team composition, so I can definitely do okay with it.

They already did a minor nerf Intimidate by giving immunity to a number of useful but very under-powered abilities. I think extending this to a few more abilities it makes sense for would be nice
