>F.A.Q
Complete list of Pokémon here
https://www.serebii.net/pokemonpokopia/availablepokemon.shtml
>Can I have more than one world in the same console?
Yes. You can have different saves for each profile. It's not like AC.
>What about cloud saves?
Yes. Unlike every other Pokémon game, this one does support cloud saves.
>Does it feature a real time clock? Can I change the console's date to progress faster?
Yes. There's no downside to moving forward or backward.
>Is my favorite Pokemon in?
List is still being updated https://www.serebii.net/pokemonpokopia/availablepokemon.shtml
>I didn't like ACNH, will I like this one?
Similarities with ACNH end at the UI; game is a lot faster, with more activities and a proper ~40h long story mode. If you've played DQ Builders 2, you know what you're getting into.
>Combat? Breakable tools?
No combat, no breakable tools. There's a stamina system in place, but it's very easy to manage.
>Should I start building a mega project or finish the story?
FINISH THE STORY! Or, at the very least, complete Beach and Ridges.
>6DXL PD6F
Island made by a random Japanese person with one of every item and habitat. NOT a dev island.

You guys weren't kidding about Lugia and Ho-Oh's encounter rates being rigged when you have the bells. I was lucky enough for Lugia to show up relatively quickly (and by that I still mean like 45 minutes, not the 5-minute intervals they were showing up before) but Ho-Oh is taking forever.
This is one of the only parts of the game that I could buy GF being responsible for since it's retarded and adds nothing but tedium to the experience. The reward isn't even so amazing to justify waiting around for it, it's literally just a Pokedex entry and a couple canned NPC lines of dialogue.

I finished the story and I like the game enough to 100% it, or at least in terms of Pokedex. Are there any tips I should know when going for it? I'm currently working on building instances houses and herding Pokemon into them, but afaik I need like 30 of these things per area.

After two days of post game, I've gotta say Pokopia could use some improvements in the building department. Magnet rise is awkward to use, takes too much PP and still requires you to do everything manually. What this game needs is a building mode with touch screen support and a quick access box for materials. I want to be able to quickly put together structures instead of floating around and placing blocks, while also constantly having to craft, mine and manage PP.

I want more city management mechanics.
Pokemon don't move around enough and they have no reason to do so. Pokemon should carry things around, make the city feel livable, make us create buldings with hard-coded purposes (a restaurant, so that cook pokemon will 'work' there and pokemon will eat there, ...)
>>
>>59160946
Yeah, I feel like they could have setup some sort of assembly system. Like you could have grimer litter his trash, have trubbish auto convert the trash litter into iron ore, then that iron ore get passed along to torchic to be processed into bars in a furnace.
>>
>>59160946
I kinda already did that. I made a resturant/café in Palette town and my co-chef is Magby. I take Paras to Palette eats every once in a while. I have courses for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. This took a bit but I love it.

I am walking Bulbasaur and Ivysaur directly over some seeds and they are refusing to make them grow. What does this game want from me? I'll admit that the area is a bit cramped, does there need to be a bunch of space around the seeds for them to make them grow?
>>
>>
I guess this game is meant to be played slowly for a long time. There's a lot of space to build stuff and the building process is pretty slow. Had a session just now where all I did was building a bridge in Pallete for a future railroad.

Literally just to give you their Pokedex entry and fuck all else. I'm pretty sure their dialogue doesn't even change as much as Kyogre's does. It's so anticlimactic and lazy, it has to be one of the grunt work tasks that Koei Tecmo shoved off on Game Freak to distract them so they wouldn't ruin the more important parts of the game.

I need the Fried Potatoes recipe only and it's tied to the PC (as far as I can tell, same for all the Eeveelution items). It sucks logging in every day to check the PC, then hunt for the final CD and 2 relic pulls to complete the game. The pull of the gold circles stops me from actually having fun

I got the Jolteon habitat recipe pretty early on, though I don't remember how exactly. Still only have 3 Eeveelutions in my town.
>>
>>59164794
Yeah it kinda deterred me from building since I kept grinding water sparkles trying to find the walls and floors I wanted. By the time I got it I was checked out and purely working on the pokedex so I could put the game down. If they had a way to just unlock things earlier I probably would have gotten sucked into a project trying to rebuild things.
As for the eevee evo line recipes, I found that the cloud island PCs have them as the daily shop recipes very often. Or you could just grab the free one from doing the pallet town pc eevee quests that give you their items for free, then just clone it if you need more.

It really is one of the worst aspects of the game. It's annoying to terraform areas with enough space to actually build them and then grind all the materials for them, they're functionally useless once the birds spawn since you can't turn them into homes and the power plant doesn't even generate power (unless I'm missing something), and the reward for getting all three birds is also underwhelming.
>>
>>59164816
You're lucky. I really don't want to set up all the electricity shit in Pallette Town to get it the proper way, since everything related to electricity in this game is tedious to me (it's why Bleak Beach is my least favorite area).
>>
>>59165139
Yeah not gonna lie I was pretty disappointed to realize that you don't get to keep Lugia after calling it down. There's no reason to even do it a second time to the best of my knowledge. A one off item that doesn't even look cool.
Hopefully dlc/sequel does something a little more interesting with them than just collecting feathers when they fly by.
>>
Just cleared out a fuckton of volcanic ash from the Rocky Ridges. Are the blocks ever going to disappear if I just leave them on the ground? I don't feel like putting a gazillion stacks of volcanic ash in storage.
>>
>>59165256
There's a limit of about 500 blocks on the ground
If you add more than the oldest ones start disappearing
It's better just to pick them up after you're completely done and then dispose of them (I personally just go to the skylands in magnemite form and drop them over the clouds)
>>
>>
>>59165301
If you don't have all the abilities then don't worry about it
I certainly wouldn't begin any real projects until you've beaten the game
You can't really dispose of things, just drop them from your inventory by pressing the plus button
You can always just leave unwanted items on a dream island too

All transformations can do the Kirby Suck, or at least Graveller and Magnemite
Graveller can eat
Movement speed boost or have certain flavor foods provide a speed boost
PC inventory management
Learn a recipe if you use the 3D printer on an item 5 times, or 10 whatever.
More Stamina/PP upgrades
Magnemite can pick up items that drop
Pokemon that can crush or bulldoze should help us with breaking stuff if they're following us, like detecting nearby ores or minerals and going to go break.
Magnemite should be able to also paint blocks that are already set down if we have paint in our inventory

DLC?
>>
>>
Making the Alters has probably been my only truly bad experience with the game
>insanely huge
>look so out of place if you were to put all 3 in Palette Town, and would eat up like half of your space
>placing them in any other area takes massive amounts of terraforming because not a single location has any real cleared out space since it looks like every area got hit with an earthquake
>top it all off, doesn't count as a habitat for each Kanto bird, still have to make something inside so that it sets their spawn
I finished all 3 in the last few days after hours of bulldozing things with graveller, i feel really burnt out.

I'm trying to understand the 'Habitat' thing. If I am setting up a house, and some of the Pokemon like Bright, some like Warm, and some like Humid, I can feasibly achieve all three of these at once without the rest of them complaining, right? It seems like only certain habitats are truly incompatible.
>dark / bright
>humid / dry
>warm / cool
Tell me I'm right, please. My autistic planning spreadsheet relies on it.
>>
>>
>>
>>59167951
You are correct. Those are the three independent axes for habitats, the only overlap is in some of the things used to produce them. A fire is hot, bright, and dry, but an air conditioner is just hot or cold.

Or just add the option uncerimoniously.

Some ideas for the others:
Make Entei's out of lava and the magma rock, or some black rock
Raikou's should be made of metal, obviously.
I think Mewtwo's should be made of the glowing cyber blocks, whatever they're called.
Mew would look cool with a house made of glowing stone
Volcanion should have a house made of black rock, and then cover the outside in Lava.
Just ideas, use them or not. Have fun!

When you interact with things like a furnace, community box, or kit setup, there should just be a menu that brings up a list of available pokemon in the area and you just assign them to the task right there. Im literally standing in front of a furnace with 2 (TWO) fire mons, and neither one wants to start smelting.
And apparently, the glitch was that their AI was busy making bricks despite me taking them far away from the community box. They were still crafting bricks despite running around with me like some kind of AFK crafting. Seriously?

I think Palette Town is just a cute name reference, I don't think it's literally supposed to be Pallet Town from RBY (note the different spelling). I think Palette Town in Pokopia is actually just some islands that are underneath the former Cycling Road which is now broken and doesn't reach all the way across
>>
>>59172693
As the other anon said, Palette Town and Pallet Town seem to be different locations, seems more likely to be the case since Cycling Road doesn't go to Pallet Town, so it's connected to a completely new area, that you are able to name whatever you want

There's not really much in Pallet Town to really make an interesting location out of, and that's the point, since it was the starting area of the Kanto games
Obviously in Pokopia they can take liberties, but there's a lot more interesting locations in Kanto they can use, that and it allows Pallet Town to come off more mysterious to not be used

And the kits take up so much space for some of them. Why does the kit take up like twice the space of the finished building? I want to put something here, and the only options really are a prefab, which I really hate the look of some of them, or build something myself, which I am at least getting better at.

Seeing as I rebuilt that island, it can’t. But I just did a quick test with extra kits I have. The gray cottage has two extra spaces on each side that are required to make room for it. I wish things like the small office kit were easier to get too.
