Great game, the level design managed to be even more surreal than the other games in the series. I didn't like how the weapons were implemented.
> Jax and Clank
Fine games, I never liked the kiddy aesthetic of Jax and Clank, especially Clank, who always had a more adult tone. The problem with Clank and Jax is a mishmash of ideas that need a complete overhaul. With Jax being more serious and Clank being more satirical, make it more overt. Now it's just cute.

Everything after Jak 1 was pretty shit. Not just the tone change. Haven City is such an awful hub world, just to connect a bunch of tiny ass levels together. No idea if 3 dropped that and went with a larger interconnected world like the first game. The 2nd game sickened me so much i just didn't want to keep playing it.

If you're a zoomer it's edgy and cool compared to modern shit
If you're a millennial, it didn't come off as edgy but a watered down version of it for babys. Much like comparing Marilyn Manson and Slipknot to teen zoomer "edgy" music like Juiced World and Lil Peep, it just is a much lamer thing

Was Shadow really honest? It was Japan trying to give American children what they wanted, while the other two were the Americans themselves embracing the zeitgeist
That said, even Japan had more "angst" and "edge" to them in this period too. I honestly prefer a little bit of grit and anger, shit feels creepy and brainwashy when it's too saccharine. I'm not saying I'm against Mario or Kirby, in fact it's really hard to get my point across.

Its funny how Ratchet and Clank: DEADLOCKED YOURE DEAD KILL KILL is sandwiched between 3 games with suggestive and childish double entendre subtitles like going commando and size matters. It really is a black sheep.
