That's a real shame on HoD, I'm happy you at least tried though.

Probably Jet Set Radio. I pushed myself through the one for DC and had an alright time, but I just cannot get very far into the Xbox one without getting bored and quitting after 30-60 minutes. It's been like 3 years and I just got past the sewers. Not sure what it is, it's not a bad game, it just doesn't do anything for me.

I could never get into Castlevania. it's an ok series but only that IMO, Ghosts n Goblins is better as an "intentionally" stiff platformer. and to a lesser extent, Mega Man, Sonic and Resident Evil. good series all of them but I don't understand how people can get so worked up about them.

Diablo 2 is peak if you just play it through with the goal of killing hell Baal. Bonus points if you play on HC. Like that the game works quite nicely as something you can play again and again when you feel like it.

I played Aria of Sorrow when it came out and later Order of Ecclesia and I thought they were alright but really overstuffed/padded from the RPG elements. some time later I checked out Bloodlines and SC4 and I thought they're just okay. I might give them another go though, since I'm not playing anything atm, or maybe I should check out one of the NES games?

Not him, but only the most lamest of dorks could take CRPGs seriously before they started to make them anything but boring clickfests with melodrama for dudes that belong in the theater club.
There's a reason that no one younger than 40 even cares about that shit and even the developers of said games have moved on from the style.

What? JRPGs are more or less the same as they ever were and they're still popular as fuck. I have yet to see someone try and recreate an older CRPG in the style of the Ultima games (not the Underworld ones, but the main series), Diablo or OG Fallout.
Unless you are an actual 40+ year old man, no one plays those anymore. They ar eliterally antiquated in the same way ZX Spectrum and Amiga games are. I don't know how hard it is to understand that anyone that is a young adult or in their 30s won't find those games remotely interesting since their game design philosophy is so antiquated.

Dude you're just an old cunt. No one likes the games you liked as a kid and you can't accept the fact that you had shit taste as a child and by objective measures, many of the games you played weren't good at all

Jet Force Gemini
Everyone acts like it's the greatest shooter ever made, or even the greatest game ever made in general, but I just can't get into it at all. The controls are so fucking awkward it's practically unplayable. I don't get why it's so universally beloved.

Relax dude. You can still like your glorified Excel Spreadsheet simulators even if no one else in their right mind would. I'm not taking that away from you. I'm just pointing out why no one wants to play them or make them anymore outside of the niche fanbase it attracted.
> too much reading for you though
Well, yeah. I read books to get enjoyment out of reading, not video games. Not to say there should be NO writing in a video game, but in a medium that allows for more than text to be rendered on a screen, text really shouldn't be the main focus of a game at all.
This is what I mean by CRPGlets being demented. You can display anything you want and have any sort of world being rendered on screen at anytime but some drab looking isometric game with walls of text to cover up for the lack of any real sense of visual flair, style or even interactivity (which video games primarily are) is the pinnacle of gaming. No one in your right mind would agree with you because that's stupid.
Maybe just stop being an eternally butthurt nerd and realize that those games weren't as good as you thought they were, especially when they weren't that deep or thought provoking as an actually worthwhile book like something from the Western canon, nor as entertaining as an actually worthwhile game.

kek it took you half an hour to come up with this overwrought shit. go on and read more of your "books" (actually just Stephen King), that's sure to serve you well in coming up with more of these epic rebuttals. to people like you, Tim Cain might as well be a god.
