When I think RCT scenarios I think Diamond Heights. Having a relatively functional park to keep things afloat while I was off designing people pulveriser 9000s over the lake was the only way I could play the game as a small child who doesn't know what a G force is.

A scenario where something extremely necessary is gated behind an obscene amount of research. Any good examples of this (besides trolly ATM gates or shit like 3 Monkeys Park designed to troll people who go all in on thrill/coasters at the start)?
For instance, a scenario with a 2 year time limit that starts with no beverage stalls and has 15 stalls to research before you actually get it.

>Forest Frontiers: The player begins with a ring of owned land around the perimeter of the original scenario's land, an average of 6~7 tiles wide, completely cleared of trees - now the center "hole" contains all the trees
>Second park entrance added over the pond in the northeastern part of the map with a sloped footpath for its initial tile, at land height, on land you own construction rights for
>Building above tree height forbidden
>Landscape changes forbidden
>Construction rights available for extremely limited sections of raised land that can be used as tunneling entrypoints to build underground
>Construction rights purchase price: €200
>Advertisement forbidden
>Wooden rollercoasters only
>Guests prefer higher intensity rides
>Park Rating is harder to get and maintain
>Guests are harder to attract
>Charge for park entrance
>Initial Loan: €1,000,000
>Average guest cash: €48
>Guests spawn with 80% hunger
>Only food stall researched is candyfloss after all other possible souvenir/utility/drink stalls (sans Cash Machine) are researched
>2500 Guests at the end of Oct. Year 3 w/600+ park rating

What RCT really needed was an option for "have x coasters in your park with y excitement" which would check if you used a prebuilt or not. The flag already exists for this to check for the "Best Custom Coasters" award. I feel like it was a missed opportunity to have "easy" scenarios to ease people into coaster building by giving a small selection of forgiving shit (Woodie/Wild Mouse variants/Virginia Reel/Junior/Looping/) while enforcing custom construction.
Something like "Have 5 custom coasters with a minimum excitement rating of 5.30" to get people building stuff that merely satisfies stat reqs would have been a good category if paired with a time limit and park rating limit since the actual problem with that scenario type is that there's no incentive to build an actual park beyond a few thrill rides/a shuttle loop/whatever to fund it.
>>
It really needs more scenario options in general because there's really only a couple, park value, guests by X, merchandise profit per month, coaster X length. They're pretty lame. I'm not sure what parkitect did or if it had more variance. You could have something like build a coaster with X score, build a (specific type of coaster) of X metres long, profit from coasters per month >X, build (a list of different rides)

anon, that scenario was made by a random locomotive person, not marcel... you know he'd never do that ncso thing where you use fences and multilayered walls to cleverly add ornamentation to building exteriors

I wondered if i could make my own custom objects. It has been mad annoying trying to figure this out. I'm sure this is all obvious if you know what you're doing but i feel like a blind guy just smashing into stuff chaotically atm. Anywhere here is a bunch of grass textures i scribbled on

I only sat through a few of his streams but he pretty much just makes normal parks with some shitpost rides. He only ever does the autism stuff if someone sends him a challenge scenario that he actually wants to try and beat.

You go back in time and tell Chris Sawyer to make tracked rides' stats modify the soft guest cap provided by each ride to dissuade this kind of spam.
Something like each ride type having stat targets that subtract/add % of the soft cap.
>Corkscrew Coaster: 100 base soft guest cap contribution
>Excitement Target: 6.00
>Lose 25% guest cap contribution for each point of excitement below 6
>Gain 15% bonus guest cap contribution for each point of excitement above 6
There, now you're actually incentivized to make proper coasters. I'll take people spamming "efficient" compact coasters all day, every day over micro corkscrew/shuttle loop spam.

Still messing around with custom ground textures. Here's an attempt at cracked mud, it's ugly because i just crapped it out. If you were serious about this you'd need to automate it because there's 18 sprites that make up the ground texture and i'm just brute forcing it atm, which is slow as hell
