For additional context, Marvel had started their own series of graphic novels a few years prior, so DC decided to get in on the act, but things didn't last nearly as long for them.

Are the Zylons truly gone for good? And what of Atari Force?

For the answers to these questions and more, join me on Wednesday!

Damn, this art is really fucking good
>>
>>12477946
the alien and the lady look familiar to the characters used in Lopez's Atari Force series.
>>
>>12479020
Compared to a lot of the shit today, yes. Compared to era, no, it is mid.

2/10, you got me to reply
>>

I'll admit that the fact this is painted is doing some heavy lifting, but the draftsmanship here is fucking great for any era of comics (trust me, there was some amateur hour shit back in the 80s as well)
>>
There was a "preview story" added to an issue of DC Comics Presents (a comic where Superman teamed-up with various DC characters) but it's just a reprint of Atari Force v1 #4 so let's just get to the good stuff.

Atari Force are about to meet up, but what does that mean for the multiverse? Can Martin Champion's theory be true? And just who is Kargg's master, and why are they so interested in Dart?

For the answers to these questions and more, join me on Friday!
>>
>all these recaps of everyone's backstory every issue
lol
>>
>>12483073
iirc it was a mandate at the time, because editors figured that every issue was someone's first issue

Oh yeah, I sorta remember this - DC had a deal with Atari right before the crash of 84. They also had some comic books based on Centipede and Swordquest, but the funniest part was they had the Legion of Super-Heroes playing Atari 2600 games and gushing about how cutting-edge the graphics were... in the 30th century.
>>
>>12477946
Atari Force was a great comic with perfect comic book art
it has a bit of a weird ending though

Atari Force's first mission has gone south, but can Dart pull victory from the jaws of defeat?

Find out on Monday!
>>
>>12484830
you think they would have had them playing the "Atari 260,000" or something, i mean Atari was already working on their next gen console the 5200 by then

Can Tempest evade capture? And how can Blackjak still be alive?

Find out on Wednesday!

you keep using that word. i do not think it means what you think it means.gif
>>
>>12479190
Nah, for the era it was good too. The composition is clean despite all the action and movement going on, character intentions are clear, and the coloring is soft and warm. Very good art. Not the best of the best, but very good.

OP here, I figured now that I'm about halfway through Atari Force v2 (I know, I know, second thread in...) I should probably start trying to figure out what to post next

Nestled comfortably at the tail-end of the 90s' "good girl" comics craze, this went on for longer than you might think
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Fighter_(UDON_comics)
Don't worry, I'm only going to do up to the SFIII stories, nothing beyond that
https://valiant.fandom.com/wiki/Nintendo
Lots of short-lived ongoings, and I figured I owed Nintendo some love after spending months posting StC
