It clearly has fans, as for the quality I'm not seeing it. Roguelite progression undermines strategic decision-making and only exists to pad out your playtime with hours of forced failure.
If this was a good game it would let you choose classes from the beginning and actually have fun with no hoops.

I played for 10hrs. It's fun and catchy but really, that's about it. I wasn't curious for a single second as the game is just another remix of already established mechanics. Gets sloppy the instant you have shit rng.
The price also definitely isn't worth it.

The ones I got so far:
Fighter (melee dpt, some good movement)
Hunter (ranged dpt, also a pet/trap user)
Tank (knock back, thorns, soak, some battlefield manip)
Mage (ranged damage, debuffer, battlefield manip)
Cleric (healing, crowd control, buffing)
Thief (ranged, high mobility, backstabs, luck mechanics)
Necromancer (drain tank, pet class, self destructive nuking, becomes stronger when downed)

How about instead of flavor of the month shilled sludge, you play an actual good SRPG instead which is truly deep mechanically and has already proven it stands the test of time?Knights in the Nightmare
