It was at least fun when it was a buggy mess. It lost all playability when they patched out running at 60 mph and slamming into dudes on the street. The story is garbage. A socialist european feverdream that would never happen irl because the moment hispanics take over in america technology will regress back to the 1950s.

>greatest redemption arc in videogame history
No.
>mogs your favorite shit RPG
No.
The fact that people actually believe this shit means that Edgerunners truly was the greatest gaslighting campaign in gaming.
It's a better game than it was but even all this time later it doesn't even have the baseline features of its genre. The driving AI is still dogshit, the "car chases" are some 1-star GTA shit, map traversal is still horrendous, the story is sleeper at best and at worst becomes actively stupid, and despite looking very pretty the map still has the depth of a puddle.
I hope they do better next time and actually deliver on everything they say they want to at launch.

2.0 worsens the entire game by destroying all the fun builds and making the outfit feature worthless by changing how armor rating functions. It also needlessly limited how much cyberwear you can stack and when. Instead of changing enemy placement and encounters, they shat over everything with a balance blast and left the rest as is. So, enemies are still a joke but now you need to take 10 minutes to clear a room instead of 3. Phantom Liberty is a terrible expansion that has even worse writing than the base game. All the “improvements” they made have resulted in a shittier game.

You mean like with hypercapitalist industrialization and oligarchy? Or lack of bodily autonomy and human rights for women such as abortion? Or the lack of healthcare? Or the lack of access to effective healthcare? Or the lack of unions?
I could go on, but I hope you understood my point, fashy. Don't forget to wear your armband when you go out.

Homosexual dystopia game. Basically what any Christian fears the future will like. Was fun to pirate when it first came out for the hilarious glitches.

>she has a tranny flag on her car
>I'm not sure what that implies in a world where getting a sex change is like getting a tattoo, but ok
>she reveals that the car race was a ruse and she actually wants me to murder one of the racers
>bitch if you want someone killed you should go through a fixer like everyone else, and especially don't lie about what the job is, that's like the most basic merc etiquette
>I still agree to try to kill the guy during the race if there's an opportunity, it's not like it's against the race rules, but I'm still gonna race to win
>drive behind him and dump hundreds of bullets into his car
>he forfeits and drives off the course

>win
>trans bartender acts like I personally betrayed her when she was the one who tried to manipulate me into doing a hit for free

I guess the trans flag was a warning that she was a whiny little shit who blames everyone else for her problems.

Act 3 is irredeemable. Every ending is incredibly unsatisfying. They didn't even get the reaper ending right, where V is supposed to die in a blaze of glory.
>>
>>
>>3931585
The panam ending worked well with nomad male V. But it doesnt make sense for me that the clan would just sacrifice everything for V and suicide attack Arasaka just because Panam asked, even assuming they romanced.

Remember when this was going to be an RPG?
Fuck man, I do. I was speaking with a guy way after the release and he told me oh, it's all fixed now. Nigger the game is still a movie with pink haired trannies set in essentially modern day LA, with no themes or aesthetics of CYBERPUNK in it, with fuck all RPG elements, with le wholesome chungus Keanu Reeves shouting in your ear every other minute. Fuck outta here and go play RDR2

They didn't just go because of V. They also went to loot what they could find there since the family was in dire straits. They even tell you that Saul does it mainly because of that and strengthen his position of power with it. And the ending where you leave the city of backstabbing, eddie-loving assholes to be with people that actually give a shit about you works for any V I think, but it does fit male nomad V more.
>>
>>3927259
>2.0 worsens the entire game by destroying all the fun builds
This. And ironically enough, despite Edge runners shitting out an army of Lucy simps, netrunning is the build that got nerfed the most, so now it's more efficient to just go in guns blazing because shooting and body builds are better than netrunners now
>>
>>
>>3931761
No they didn't go there for loot and Saul did not agree to it. They went there because V called Panam, and she sent her nomads to a suicide run. The idea of a small contingent of nomads mounting an attack on Arasaka is complete lunacy, saved only by rushed writing and plot armor, because Arasaka wouldve squashed them like bugs and wouldve predicted the attack through agents and spies. The fact that the hq wasnt immediately overrun by elites and maxtac the moment the assault took place is outrageously dumb. Maxtac went to clean up a single robbery at jinguji. Plus Saul dying is very convenient to put Panam in charge. This whole ending is a shallow rushed happy ending that felt unearned and hollow.

Ancient Egyptians believed that your self was in the heart, and they discarded the brain as irrelevant. The ancient Romans were enthusiastic about slavery, and believed supernatural gods were real. Maybe the ignorance and quirks of etymology of long dead civilizations isn't a great premise for knowledge and understanding, let alone morals.
You fucking fascist idiot.

that's all you can say. a basic appeal to emotion. as if that's the only thing that's happening in these situations. women just feel like killing a baby for no reason whatsoever
take a step back and think about what a woman goes through when she has an unplanned pregnancy
are you willing to drop your entire life, all your plans, studying, traveling, building a career, to have a child before you're ready for it?
abortion is self defense against an innocent living being. it's an unfortunate situation without a perfect solution
of course all your concern is hollow as fuck, since I'm pretty sure you don't give a shit about the babies

They saw how stealth hacking was broken and their response was to outright remove it as a playstyle option via tracing instead of changing encounter design to make hacking more challenging. Instead of including powerful netrunner enemies that can hack you back or counter your hacks, all goons will forcibly detect you if you hack while stealthed. It’s such backwards design philosophy that’s the equivalent of nailing down a “no fun” sign.
>>
>>3925785
Yeah I don't give a shit when it all looks like fucking shit.
My hardware is top of the line. I have everything on ultra, raytracing and all.
But there's ghosting, and everything further than 5 meters away looks like it's rendered at 600x800 and scaled up. If the distance is too great, cars will be fucking 2d sprites. It's fucking weird man.

Pointing out your retarded expectations doesn't mean I'm excited for the next game. You might as well expect Bethesda to release a passionate, deep RPG full of choice and consequential roleplaying for their next game. CDPR have never made a game with proper character customization and anyone expecting them to start now was delusional, especially with the state of CP2077 at release.
The fact that you're seething so hard about muh dyke when both the book series and the entire third game spend a lot of time hammering in Ciri as Geralt's successor is amusing enough, I'll admit.

I appreciate that when they reworked the mechanics they decided to just go with a balls-out focus on cool, letting the player do all kind of anime shit like deflecting bullets with a sword or nailing people with slow-motion midair throwing knife headshots. It's rare to see a dev overhaul their core game mechanics this much in a single player game, especially an open-world arpg.

It's a non sequitur. So is a the next post here:
>>3933680
Completely unrelated nonsense.
When asked to elaborate, you never did.
What am I to make of this?
>>
>>3933901
>It's a non sequitur.
This is why you shouldn't use random terms you stumble across online, anon, it can lead to you looking silly. 'Non sequitur' means 'it doesn't follow', i.e . that something is unsupported by or unrelated to its antecedent. Neither of my posts are non sequiturs.
>Original argument: CDPR sucks for choosing to develop a game without a custom MC and instead having a preset dyke MC
Yes, that's correct. I'm glad you're following along.
>Counter "argument": CDPR has never made a Witcher with a custom MC.
>It's a non sequitur.
How is it a non sequitur? It directly addresses the point raised, by pointing out that all the previous Witcher games had a set protagonist, just like the upcoming one that the original post was complaining about. I'm also not making a rigorous argument here, only an implied one - I'll spell it out for you since you seem to have trouble grasping it. If all CDPR's previous Witcher games had a set protagonist, it follows that their new Witcher game will most likely have a set protagonist instead of allowing you to create a custom one. I elaborated on this in my next post, I'll highlight the relevant section for you:
>CDPR have never made a game with proper character customization and anyone expecting them to start now was delusional, especially with the state of CP2077 at release. >>3933680
So, again, something related to the topic and not a non sequitur.
>What am I to make of this?
That in addition to being so retarded you're unable to parse very simple posts without them being explained to you like you're a child, you also misuse terminology you don't understand because you think it'll let you save face and demonstrate that you're not retarded, somehow. I wish you luck.

*teleports behind you and level scales the entire game in a patch*
Heh, nothing personal, choom
>>
>>3933938
kek
It is what it is. I don't think it noticeably degraded the game experience, the main difference is that compared to the old system you don't get one-tapped just by walking a couple of blocks too far in the wrong direction, and that you can do any area in any order. Which is silly, but so was the original version where random gamgoons using the same hardware can do 50x the damage because they're at max level, so I think it evens out. I would've preferred more finely tuned scaling, where enemies were tougher or easier depending on the job or encounter type as well as by faction type; there's no reason you shouldn't get easy jobs in the up-scale areas or incredibly tough jobs in the bad part of town right from the start of the game, as long as they're optional and not mandatory for progression.
The skill scaling was dumb and I think some retard at CDPR just forgot to cap it, or scale it more slowly with level. I preferred the original skill and perk system but the new one is fine, it's a rare perk system that lets you reassign perks and gives you an actual reason to do so. I did like the changes to weapon scaling, it makes sense that all weapons of a given tier should do the same, or roughly the same, damage, so you don't have to go through dozens of pistols before you find the one with the right modifiers and spend a fortune upgrading them. I would've liked to see more restrictions on weapon quality than just player level, better quality equipment should've been restricted to more dangerois enemies, but I can understand that since it was an overhaul patch they probably didn't want to have their designers poring over every single encounter in detail again. I think the game was really missing proper weapon customization, something like Alpha Protocol's would have been great, swapping out components like barrels and springs or putting attachments on weapons to adjust things like recoil and stability.
Eh, see if they learned anything for their next game.

>>3933929
>'it doesn't follow'
Yes, a statement that does not follow logically from what preceded it.
If I make a declarative statement like:
"I don't like beer and the store sucks for selling beer".
You don't go:
"Well, the store has always sold only beer".
While the subject matter revolves around beer and the store it's sold, logically there's no link. It's redundant. Graciously, it's a quip.
But lets engage with it regardless, as I did.
Even if CDPR always did have a predefined character in Witcher series so far, the saga of Geralt is over. It has nothing to do with anything anymore. The 4th entry is also a new fan fiction by CDPR.
Not only that, but its MC in the following tittle CP77 was pretty customizable. Furthermore, they even progressed from a dodge-roll gameplay in W3 to a full blown FPS in CP77. Lets not forget, that W1 was a clicking rhythm game. It's a company capable of change. If there's a trend, then that's that each of their tittles were pretty different from each other. The other unchanging trend is that CDPR releases their games in a pretty bug saturated state, but that's unrelated.
So the reply neither logically engages with the previous post nor is it even factual in itself. The store did not, in fact, always sell only beer.
>>
>>3933955
>>go to a store that sells beer
>>wtf, why is this store selling beer? This sucks!
>what did you expect, it's a beer store
>>there's no logical link between those statements!
You are genuinely retarded almost beyond belief.
>>
>>3934269
There's a premise and an argument that follows from it.
I dislike beer therefore I dislike places that sells beer.
What does expectations has to do with any of it.
Forget the fucking beer, as that example is lost on you.
Jesus, and you call others retarded.
>>
>>3934269
>>3934390
OK, last attempt:
If I claim that CDPR sucks for doing dyke MC and not a custom one in W4, what does the fact that they didn't have a custom MC in in w1-3 has to with any of it? Who asked? So what if they didn't? It's completely fucking irrelevant and unrelated to anything. Why can't your stupid retarded ass get it? They may have predefined MC up until Witcher 100, and I'd still say they suck for doing so while pissing on your grave.

Great game but i prefer The Witcher 3 by a slight margin.
CDPR knows how to write characters and how to write quests, i firmly believe CDPR is one of the reasons Bioware got screwed out of business lol. The Witcher 3 made Inquisition look like a joke.
>>
>>3925785
They didn’t add any of the content that was cut solely because of time constraints. Corpo path is still half assed with no option to complete Jenkin’s request or side with Abernathy, and the Heist is still a cop out with all your squad and key players dying. The whole dynamic between choosing to side with Dex or Evelyn is still a non-choice because they both get axed before you can even follow through on the decision. The whole continual updates of cyberpunk and the 2.0 overhaul are a distraction to make people think the game is improving meanwhile the actual stuff that was planned for the final release is forever lost. Cyberpunk is a game of broken promises. I would much rather see the game completed as was intended before it was rushed out the door and everything was cut instead of the dogshit phantom liberty expansion we got instead. I don’t care about some side story that forces you to suck the president’s cunt in an area that isn’t even Night City written by hacks who aren’t even responsible for the base game’s writing; I just want to see to see the main story that we were SUPPOSED to get from day 1 but never got.
>>
>>3925785
Main story makes for a great interactive movie but the combat and character building are mediocre and the side content sucks ass. It's like a 6/10 if we're rating the whole package instead of just the highs.
>>
