IIRC, the context was about the type of games Nintendo wants to make. I think they were going for a "social gaming" brand. I vaguely remember the commercials for the Wii and how unreal it represented "players".
It was like, smiling college students in stylish clothes having a rooftop party, and they're tossing a wii remote around like a baton or hot potato.
The forum I was on back then had a laugh about it. Because it wasn't a kid's sleep-over party. The Nintendo might have been the most affordable home console - but only if it stays home. Taking it to college parties...it's going to get lost, broken, or stolen. Right?
The economy has probably crashed 3 times since then too.
