Seeing that the N64 was a flop and the console playerbase are full of depresed cultist trannies that only like the same 3 games.
No, he wasn't right.

IIRC, the context was about the type of games Nintendo wants to make. I think they were going for a "social gaming" brand. I vaguely remember the commercials for the Wii and how unreal it represented "players".
It was like, smiling college students in stylish clothes having a rooftop party, and they're tossing a wii remote around like a baton or hot potato.

The forum I was on back then had a laugh about it. Because it wasn't a kid's sleep-over party. The Nintendo might have been the most affordable home console - but only if it stays home. Taking it to college parties...it's going to get lost, broken, or stolen. Right?

The economy has probably crashed 3 times since then too.

Fucking hypocrite. He only said this because Square left for a much better console than slop64. I don't think he disliked the money from CT or FFVI

I guess some random encounter grindfest would be mindnumbing to watch someone play.

Completely correct, when people play a genre they only play games in that genre and never play other games, or even activities.

I don't consider myself a gamer

Nintendo didn't want those loser FFVII players anyway.

Probably. Although I'm not alone. My cat likes to chill with me while I play.

About what? He just told the world that he's illiterate and has the attention span of a gnat. Why should anyone care about his rambling stream of consciousness comments? Let alone us.

huh?

It got mogged by the Playstation and failed to surpass the Superfamicom despite vidya exploding in popularity. It was a flop.

>It was a flop.
This definitely feels like bizarre revisionism. I have never heard anyone claim this before.
>t. had a playstation but buddy had a 64

Jap boomers might just have burger boomers beat when it comes to seething about every subsequent generation while trying to sabotage them in any way they can

flop means commercial failure
what you mean to say is competitive failure

>The people who play the games the Isekai genre was invented on are depressed.
Yes, it's the closest thing you have to Isekai, even the darkness of the room is an extra escape from this garbage called real life.

Failing to meet the sales records of your predecessor while the market explodes around you feels like a flop to me.

Why would I take seriously, the words of someone who almost killed the GameBoy

Something is only a flop if it fails entirely and loses money. N64 was a success and made the company money it just didn't do as well as the Playstation.

You are a fucking retard.
