Nope. Console game. Bamco isn't even involved this time.
>To commemorate this milestone, we are pleased to announce the start of development for a completely new home console game titled **.hack//Z.E.R.O.**
>This title will be released as a self-published project, with CyberConnect2 handling everything from planning, development, to sales in-house.

>Brought back everyone who worked on the series
>All Manager positions
>Game Design Manager's only worked on background art for anime
Yeah nothing good's gonna' come out of this and it'll just end up hollow, missing the point on what made the older games special. Even the character design's shit mostly appealing to modern anime/fashion trends. All the old hats aren't doing any of the creative work themselves and are just making sure all the youngsters doing most of the legwork to put out a competent, finished product.
People are happy the series is "back", but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be "good". Combat's likely going to play like all those shitty Naruto/Shounenshit arena fighters Banco keeps shitting out.
I wish they'd just remastered IMOQ with QoL features or even revamp the combat to play more like Xenoblade instead of whatever this reboot's gonna' be.

I hope that they manage to at least get the sovl of the vaguely middle eastern inspired 90/00's anime fantasy aethetic.

Really?
I guess it's just because these two specifically always reminded me of the character designs in FF:T(A) which I've always associated with the middle east. More specifically the Mediterranean area around the Levant.

Yeah. Not exactly what I think of when I think Celtic. But maybe I'm wrong. idk. Kinda looks like Instanbul to me.

>the only way it would work is to be intentionally anachronistic.
I would be down.
I maintain the 90's and early 2000's is the best time period for any setting remotely modern.

It's got charm, but it definitely has not aged well in comparison to games today. If you have the mindset and look past, and maybe appreciate its age, then might be something of worth,

I just finished Mutation and I'll be doing the dvd dungeon after watching the second episode of liminality, it really picked up at the end even if some things felt like a letdown in the middle likePhase 2 and Cubia. they just didn't have the same buildup as Skeith so it felt more like something that just kind of happened, the music didnt really stick with me either,Phase 3also felt like it happened a bit too early but I'll blame that one on me ignoring a few side quests which I clearly shouldnt have done (no minimap sucks ass and I was overleveled for them)
I might farm a few more cores but I think im pretty much done with this disc. Not sure about grunties and trades because I don't want to burn myself out for doing too much side stuff.
Marlo is cool and Moonstone is a funny guy, but I didn't really care much for everyone else introduced here, I hope I don't start caring less and less about the new companions you meet in the other discs.

She's mid but I like her. Hard to go back though after playing Fragment where you can hotkey skills and items and not have to pause every time. I only want a remaster of the original games to add that feature in.

The actual gameplay was dated in its own time, but some of it is still kind of neat like the random dungeons. It's carried hard by the atmosphere and setting, and 4 games is a lot of time to be carried. Probably the best example of a game that could benefit from a remake/remaster I can think of.

Usually gamefaqs is a time capsule for that shit. Every once in a while searching for something like that will take me to one of those
old websites for "cheats" or whatever too.
Either way there's no chance it would be hard
to find.

I was finally able to find the English cover art on a Russian website
This took way longer than it should have.

>So I take it the codes in question are the area keywords on the back?
given how it was described, that seems to be the case
>I wonder if the items are really anything special or if they're just some nice gear.
I've heard it's exclusive items, no idea if they're any good
