This is only acceptable either in Dragons Dogma, or early access era Baldurs Gate 3, where you are designing a female companion for your male player character.
>>
>>3928743
>make them as hot as possible
Flippy blippy.
I don't use cosmetic mods tho (face morphs, additional hairstyles ect), cause that means I'm not focusing on the game itself, but on making Barbie dolls, which is lame and gay.

I see it the other way around, using facemorphs and modded hairstyles, big booba mods enhances my gameplay experience and makes me more* focused on the game itself. Not less.

I don't
>>
>>3928829
I can concede the point regarding the modded hairstyles if the game has terrible hair options and you don't wanna your MC to look like another NPC, but the facemorphs and booba mods are excessive IMO and also cause I like my women all armored up or tacticool-like and wearing helmets or masks.

You'll have to consult the MGS wiki for that, but the short of it is that it uses special parasitic organisms harvested from Parasite Unit to do all kinds of supernatural sheningans, i.e. for a limited time make oneself invisible, cover oneself in metal to resist small arms fire, and create a dense artificial mist in an area around oneself. You also have other more grounded outfits that your character can wear. That being said, MGSV is not a proper roleplaying game - I just brought it up as an example of what I'm into aesthetically. Game's also pretty fun if you like stealth and don't care about the story too much:

Picrel is the closest I've gotten to imitating that vibe in ME.

I didn't know me3 has this suit. Is this le? Anyway, could look up the parasite suit, sure. Just didn't bother. I'm rather asking on how parasites (in a suit?) can make you invisible. Sure, parasites can even reprogram living beings, like worms make you itch your butt and then sniff on it. I don't understand how this works, but it gets even more complicated, when a suit gives you the superpower of letting your enemies scratch their butt while in mid combat.
>>
>>3928955
>I didn't know me3 has this suit
It's a full set of Armax Arsenal armor with the Recon hood, as you can see. Vanilla ME3 as it gets, just with a different coat of paint and camo pattern. The Cerberus armors are too weeb-ish for my taste, but their stats are too good to ignore.
>I don't understand how this works
It's Kojima bullshittery, there's no actual reasoning behind it except it looks cool.

>>3928952
Fair enough, I concur.
>>
>>3928959
>kojimbo's a hack
Ye
>me2
I don't remember, started le 1 for the first time a year ago and see why people love me1 the most. It's a cool, but flawed game. I'm still mad that me3 doesn't end with harbinger assuming control over the illusive man. That would've been a kino boss fight.
>>
>>3928885
Yea I knew someone who made the case for armored women in games. Explained that it was sexier due to the idea that their armor would get ripped off and they would be railed after being defeated. Personally never saw it that way.

Armor that accentuates a woman's curves works best for me. Preferably showing a lot of skin, id say 60/40 skin to armor ratio is about correct. Low breastline always.

No helmet ever on female character, and I mean ever let their mouths and hair be visible at all times. Gives the opportunity to passively contemplate pulling hair and deepthroating mid gameplay.
>>
>>3929199
>Personally never saw it that way
Same, but probably not for the same reason as you. Woman in armor is a shorthand for a woman that is in a profession which requires universally desirable personal qualities like discipline, intelligence, endurance and drive and regular physical activity means she's healthy and in good shape. To be clear, this is not me bootlicking real-life army or the police. In reality, both are filled with people desperate, dumb or desensitized enough to serve as goons for the state. Fantasy isn't encumbered by this, so I perceive warrior women as an extreme variant of a female athlete, except her discipline is cutting or blowing up monsters or baddies with her weapon of choice.
>Armor that accentuates a woman's curves works best for me... No helmet ever on female character
It should depend on the setting: it it's high-fantasy, sure, give me ornate armor with boob windows; if you're trying to make a sci-fi game (even soft sci-fi), only hardsuits with full helmets will do but feel free to make it as tacticool as possible.

>>3928969
>That would've been a kino boss fight.
I disagree. I think that the Indoctrination theory postulated by some ME fans (and disproven by Bioware before the release of the Extended Cut, who were too up their own ass to see they were offered an off-ramp) would've worked better. Even better (but now we're talking about hypotheticals), they could've followed Drew's original idea that the Reapers made the infrastructure (Mass Relays and the Citadel) to cultivate and harvest sentient species as optimally as possible because they wanted to improve and perfect themselves so as to stop or at least slow down Entropy. ME is a think-y and talk-y game, and fist-fighting a mutated TIM isn't what ME should be about.
>>
>>3928738
I come up with a character concept first and try to sculpt a face that conveys that idea
Although honestly half the time I just go with the default if it looks passable
>>
>>3928738
I used to create female characters and play a bit when I wanted to fap. I returned to my normal game with male character when post nut clarity kicked in.

Who build the relays, the proto race? In me2 harbinger was using excessive force to get shepard, he even taunts him a lot.
>your minions have fallen
In 3 he forgets that shepard even exists. The machine should've a personal grudge against the human or chamli9nof the living and should try to stop him at the very end. Shepard crawling half dead to the cyber kiddo is just wrong. Beating controlled illusive man should've damaged the harbinger and this should enable shepard to communicate to harbinger's boss. Huge missed chance. Now that the reapers are dead, what could possibly be the enemy in me4? Who's the enemy in andromeda?

>>3929323
>I come up with a character concept first and try to sculpt a face that conveys that idea
I do the same, but I try to make them as hot as (realistically) possible as well.

>>3929341
>Who build the relays, the proto race?
Nah, the Reapers did, but they themselves were built by Leviathans, a nearly extinct race of aquatic creatures you get to interact with in one of ME3's DLC's.
>In 3 he forgets that shepard even exists
It's an overcorrection on Bioware's part. They received negative feedback about Harbinger's yapping, saying it destroyed the aura of inscrutability and malice of the Reapers which Sovereign established. So they didn't give him any lines in ME3 (tho you do get to converse with the Rannoch Reaper Destroyer and the Star Child instead who also made the Reapers seem more lame)

Fuck owlcat and expanse is lame, too. Has some good qualities though. The proto and Leviathans aso are hidden behind a pay wall. Those are important and the outcry was justified. Nvm, got the le for a fiver.
>>
>>3929391
>The proto and Leviathans aso are hidden behind a pay wall
If you bought Mass Effect Legendary Edition, you have all of ME DLCs included by default.
>>
>>3929393
Le is the legendary edition. I played 3 when it released and must say I'm disappointed. There nothing else to play, so I bought the le. When I'm done, this might take almost a year, I'll get the trails remake.

I typically decide on a personality and vague background that influences how I then picture them looking.
Take Dragon's Dogma. I *always* have a big sis / little sis dynamic going on. Play through as the big sis character with the little sis pawn, then on NG+, the dynamic flips, and I'm now playing the little sis with a big sis pawn. On the cycle goes.

In this pool of characters I created, I knew I wanted the bottom one as my starting pawn. I wanted a girl that had been tortured and experimented on, a character reminiscent of Paz, and given fitting surgery markings. Despite it all, she would be kind and somewhat cheery, mostly in an effort to uplift others and not so much how she genuinely is.

I couldn't quite decide what I wanted as my character though, the big sis. I was partial to the middle top one. A character that faced hardships around humans, equally scarred as the pawn on the surface, but deeper ones emotionally. A character that would latch onto the aforementioned pawn, the pawn becoming their tether and encouraging them to forge on.

That aside, I go for imperfections that accentuate the beautiful.

Interesting so its the idea of the woman as being elite level and competent that you like, and tactical gear and armor better convey that. That makes perfect sense honestly, though I feel most men are more visually oriented when it comes to women. Personality does matter of course, but visage takes precedence in my book.

Don't get me wrong, all men are in the same boat - I certainly wouldn't gush as much if the character looked like Jabba the Hutt, and whenever I'm offered to customize the FeMC, I try to make her as hot as possible (within reason and plausibility, as anon above you nicely said). On that note, I'm looking forward to the full release of MENACE, mostly because it seems like a great game (though it's /vst/ and not /vrpg/ material), but also because you get to command tacticool ladies.

>>3929443
>Take Dragon's Dogma
As someone who's aware of Dragon Dogma games but hasn't played them yet, how RPG-ish would you say they are? Does your background, race ect. change the game in any significant way, and does the game focus more on the offering you more gameplay or narrative-related choices?
>>
>>3929500
>RPG-ish
Not very, not at all, really. It's a j-arpg. It could've been the definite arpg, but japs are hacks. 2 has one race. It's actually about the jib/class changes. You can mix and match and horribly gimp your build in one. Basically you need 100 levels in one stat class to play in the wanted class. AFAIK no narrative choices. It's worth a play, the dlc of 1 is good. The rest is subpar.
>>
>>3929500
No change in any way whatsoever. All in the head.

Thanks for responding anon. Considering I could handle MGSV's (lack of) story, I'll likely deal with DD's faults easily if the gameplay is at least decent.
>>
>>3929565
Good comparison. Both games are dependantof gameplay. DD has some iconic characters, like Mercedes. Unfortunately she's doesn't live up to her reputation.

Someone who looks like they fit the role.
I very rarely pick female characters, usually on like n-th replay to see what's different. The one time where my first completion qas with a female was Kotor 2 becaus Exile is canonically a woman. I think I used pic related or another similar brown haired one. They had this sort of librarian jedi vibe.

Imagine what's gonna be possible in 100 years. Trannies will be indistinguishable from biological women, they will even be able to carry children. Transphobes will completely cease to exist because it's gonna be impossible to tell.

Realistically the game should not allow Femshep to:
>Select Blue Dialogue
>Select Red Dialogue
>Perform Paragon Interrupts
>Perform Renegade Interrupts
This would create actual consequences for choosing to play as a weaker, less intelligent gender. No offense to Jennifer Hale she's alright for the role of Femshep, but unlike Mark Meer she doesn't have the balls to lay down such legendary speechcraft manuevers
