>play early 3D games on DOS
>most camera controls are inverted by default
>get comfortable with it
>time passes, more normies get into vidya
>non-inverted becomes more standard
>get comfortable with it
>now at a point where I'm so comfortable with both, I'm comfortable with neither
I feel like this is a microcosm of every dichotomy in my life.

At first I thought this was just mental illness, but now I'm starting to give credence to dead internet theory for the first time. Imagine doing this.

Yup, I grew up before mouselook, using ALT to strafe, etc. when I was a kid I preferred inverted mouse for a while, and I remember in the late 90s shooter era I was still doing some weird hybrid of inverted mouselook + arrow keys instead of WASD. At some point I just dropped it and went to non-inverted mouse and WASD like everyone else.
