Hmm.
Shadow Hearts maybe?

Final Fantasy 5
or
4 Heroes of Light
It is the technical predecessor to Bravely Default, same developers, but it also holds a devilish secret ;)

Final Fantasy is so varied that trying one and not liking it doesn't mean you won't like a different one. It really depends on what about that one you didn't like.

Try and remember which one, Bravely is a FF game in all but name. If you liked the job system look at 3 or 5.

If you loved Bravely Default, Bravely Second is kino. New OST is so-so but IMO Second hits higher highs, especially at the end, and I'm a huge BD fanboy.

Other than that, Final Fantasy V is what Bravely Default is more or less based on (jobs, crystals) and has a similar tone.

as others have said each FF can be wildly different, almost feel like a different series between games.

FF1-5 feel like a watered down bravely default (in a bad way)
FF6 and 7 feel the closest to chrono trigger imo.
FF8+ are... all so different, and nothing to compare them to. you'll have ppl who swear 8, or 9, or 10, or 12, or 13, or 15 etc are the defining best one, but its always 50-50 on all of them past 7 imo.

also, what did u like about the games u did play? and what did u not like? this helps us figure out what u want more of.

It is quite frankly the story of a bunch of kusogaki that won't talk no jutsu to stop the evil aberration trying to eat existence itself.
