I played all the Avernums, Geneforges, Avadons and Queens Wishes Jefff Vogel released.
I want more easily digestible turn-based stuff.
What crpgs can /vrpg recommend?

Of Blades and Tails, if you don't mind the furfaggotry.
It plays like a roguelike but is not one, the map and quests are hand made. It's mostly a dungeon crawler, there are a few towns but the interactions there are pretty basic, you will mostly be exploring the wilderness, fighting monsters and dungeon diving.
Most bad reviews are subhumans bitching about the difficulty, it's really not hard if you can spot basic synergies and skills that are clearly better than others and don't YOLO it into packs of monsters without a plan.

And inconsistent writing, extreme liniarity and absurdly overrated and overadvertised soundtrack that is plain mid.
It's very easy, even on harder difficulties. It embraces all the slog of the olden days with retardation of the modern era. None of the good from each imo

Play the Exile series aka Avernum when it was good.
Also Nethergate by same dev.
You're not going to get equivalents/competitors because modern indie devs are exceedingly lazy and only chase popular trends with simple premade engines. Which is hilarious given how straightforward and simple the Spiderweb games usually are designed.
