The Most Noble Order of the Radiant Heart

I would put my SEED in that SOLDIER
>>
SOLDIER are genetically enhanced, SEED are just really well-trained.

Well-trained enough to take down Sorceresses, who are stronger than any genetically-engineered SOLDIERs.
Ultimecia needed more screentime.

>listen up, SEED, you’re on a top secret mission to infiltrate and penetrate the defenses of this sorceress
>it’s a one way mission I’m afraid, no exfiltration will be available

Ultimecia x Squall is underrated.

Your image is misleading.
Cloud never made it in to SOLDIER, he failed.
Squall was successful in becoming a SEED.

Hojo exposed him to extreme levels of Mako poisoning as if he had been placed in the SOLDIER program after Nibelheim, though the success of these clandestine experiments is debatable.

Why is younger male hero vs older female villainess so rare? I can't think of any example other than FF8.

Wrath of the Righteous also fits

But they all lose to L’Cie in the end anyways

If you're going to pretend Cloud is a SOLDIER because of implied similarities, then you probably consider Seifer a SEED, which also puts you in the camp of Rinoa=Ultimecia.

Do you? Subscribe to that theory.

Aversa in Fire Emblem Awakening too if you make a shota/young Robin.
>>

According to Opera Omnia, Seifer doesn't have enough SEED in him to satisfy Ultimecia. She compiains he is spent too quickly and therefore useless.

First of all, it's SOLIDER in all caps. 2nd of all, it was a total failure that was replaced by the Tsviets of Deepground. But they are high maintenance too.

But if we're going by strength and not life expectancy. SOLIDERs should put up a good fight in theory. Before they "burn out".

SeeD is probably closer to the Turks. Considering Edea was originally created for FF7 and associated with turk/wutai prototypes (Fujin and Raijin), thats basically what they are.

Listen up, I don't care what the faggot devs say. Ultimecia and Rinoa being ultimately two split personalities of the same person makes the story so much better it's not funny.

If I'm not supposed to think R=U why did Square ramp up the sexual tension in later game spinoffs?

Did you forget the part where they have magical powers and enhanced abilities thanks to the help of powerful magic beings that also happen to damage their brain as a side effect?

Cloud has magical powers and enhanced abilities thanks to the help of a powerful magic being (Gaia) that also happen to damage his brain as a side effect?

There's a certain pathos if the conflict is personal.

Although you could just see it as two women fighting over the same man, that's how I've started to see it since I watched Modded FF7 Rebirth/Remake/whatever where they swap Cloud with Squall and Sephiroth with Ultimecia.

NTA but

>Rinoa and Squall talking about how if Rinoa turns evil, Squall might have to kill her
>Ultimecia's castle being right where Rinoa and Squall promised to meet each other
>GFs degenerating memories means it's plausible for Rinoa to forget everything
>Griever being named off the ring Squall gave her
>Ultimecia's goal is to kompress time into a single eternal moment, Rinoa wishes time would stand still on the Ragnarok just so she could stay with Squall forever

It makes the love story (which FFVIII is) a lot more tragic.
