Hololive has been recruiting people using criteria that make more sense for a small time corporation, whne in reality they needed to filter out bad hires/hires that turned out to be bad in the long run by explaining in detail basic requirements of the job. The fact that there are now several large indies whose careers were made by riding off the hololive name, when they themselves weren't really willing to live up to it, is a shame. It's to do with leadership and energy. You have to have the headspace to push yourself in a unique direction and self-motivation to really pursue creative and interesting ideas without prompting or someone else supporting you, less to do with the streaming itself. The stream is just a medium to share it. Ame was decent but self-destructive in a way, not to mention undermined by management initially. Ina is that way but mainly with her art which doesn't translate well. Kiara is that way but held back severely by a number of other issues. Mori is that way but also fumbling, so while she continues doing it to a degree she also doesn't really have a point or greater scope to her actions so it lacks staying power.
The newer gens are waiting around for someone else to tell them what to do too much and unwilling to think for themselves for lack of a better term.

Is it fixable? Timezones alone make scheduling anything miserable, and EN's scattered across more than half the globe. So either you only get a fraction (~1/3rd ish) of the girls involved, or your event only caters to a fraction of the audience in the chosen timeslot. The 24hr relay idea's ok on the surface, except half the point of an event is to have the girls interact with each other - not just dozens of solo streams vaguely connected by a theme.
It does seem notable that the number of EN collabs seems to go up by a LOT whenever everyone has to fly into a location at the same time.

The last time that all the talents in Hololive EN joined an optional branch wide collab was the Christmas collab in 2021. Shiori revealed her face at 2:08. Then rather then dropping like ever other outfit reveal stream it starts inclining again a couple of minutes later and flatlines at 25k until the stream ends.
