The clips of this looks fun, but I've never seen any Kamen Rider series
Would that harm my viewing experience?

I have never seen Kamen Rider and I am having a blast with that anime.

That "Inaniwa Udon" is famous, one of "Japan's Three Great Udons", so they say. Hand-stretched, very labor-intensive. Some famous places like Kaneko Hannosuke in Nihonbashi will have lines out the door all day every day...

Every time you post AI, a non-binary xher/xhim heccin valid artist on bluesky commits suicide.

Please stop

The characters are autistic enough to explain all of the necessary details. You could probably assume the franchise was invented for this anime and it would still make sense.

Rather than relying on cheap foreign workers for animating, why not AI? Japan can once again make great anime again
>>
>>6099454
AI is absolutely going to be in every workflow to some degree, it probably already is. In the near future it might even generate the full sequence from sketches and then the animator will go over it and fix it.

This is already done for Blu-Ray releases where they start from bad frames and partially redraw whatever needs it, nothing new.
>>
>>6099454
Can't wait for all the good techniques to be forgotten so everything starts to look exactly the same because a computer did everything for too long.
>>
>>6099564
>good technique
>cheap vietnamese drawn slide shows
>>
>>
>>6099698
I'm not talking about the slop anime. I'm talking about the stuff that's actually done right. Keep defending having computers take the place of passionate artists who actually try though. I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong.
>>
>>6099709
I'm talking about slops that dominate all anime after the first 1-2 episodes. You either dont watch anime or you dont understand the industry. All anime episodes outside of the first episode or two are slops due to budget, time, effort constraints. There's no passion for these slops created by cheap foreign laborers. There's no skill involved. There' no effort. There's no soul in them. Its just sweat shop slops for all the anime aired in television. Ofcourse they try to fix the most eggregious of the slops during BD releases, but they still leave 90% of the slop there that are just too shoddy.

Shiisaa's little song here is actually from the Maesato commercials! It's a famous Okinawan food manufacturer, famous for tofu and certain other items.
>>
>>6100529
And that dessert at the end is a summer favorite, like an osakan (and okinawan?) street dessert. They take these blocks of jellied algae and shove them through a special noodle-maker thing. Then top with syrup and kinako powder... weird but good.

Well, pack it up boys. Anime scene of the decade just aired.
>>
>>6100716
kek that's not Tamaki's scene
>>

Small home versions of those cutters recently did rounds on English social media as a method of making "tofu chrysanthemums." Works the same way with the metal grid to force the block through.

You cut the tofu with the grid cutter then dump it in water and watch the strand spread outwards like chrysanthemum petals. I think it looks more like a sea anemone personally.

No way this isn't slop. The big tell is that there's never any point and many things that happen lack a reaction.
Missile explodes? Still a missile there anyway.
Who are they fighting? Nobody in particular.
Lots of unnatural movements too.
