Thread #1558536
Hi. I'm a 23 year old autistic guy in Georgia usa and I live with my parents. Right now I'm working 40 hours at a warehouse for 18 bucks an hour. I'm trying to save up money this year so I can eventually become self sufficient. Is working at a warehouse a good option for me or is there something better I could be doing? I make like 680 bucks a week. Thanks.

they have a score system but you have to be a full employee and I'm only a temp. Idk if I'd be able to get a raise because I'm pretty shitty at unloading pallets quickly and the shifts are ten hours so it's hard to stay focused.

I've been a forklift driver for many years. When I started pay scales were about equal to >>1558565, now it's not even close. Wage increases stagnated, I'm paid half of what I know others are, but I don't quit things...
Save some money from the warehouse gig and take a course at a trade school

So looking at the laws in Georgia, it is illegal to buy manafacture or sell weed.
In Georgia, brewing beer and producing wine at home is legal for personal, non-commercial use. Adults of legal drinking age (21+) may produce up to 100 gallons per year if only one adult resides in the household, or up to 200 gallons per year for two or more adults.
Growing tobacco for personal, non-commercial use is generally legal in Georgia and the United States, as the TTB: Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (.gov) does not require a permit for individual cultivation. However, you must be 21+ to possess tobacco products. Commercial production requires Georgia Department of Agriculture (.gov) oversight.
So you cannot legally grow or sell weed in georgia, but you can produce 100 gallons of beer or wine per person that you can give away, and you can grow as much tobacco as you want without regulation so long as you are giving it away and not doing so commercially.
I think working in a warehouse you can understand what the value of a box full of alcohol or tobacco products may be, and the idea that you can learn how to generate these items would be interesting.
