It embellishes and takes liberties but it touches on a lot of interesting pieces of the entire lore of the paranormal/alternative. It's a low-protein introduction to the topic for a lot of people.

They are hypocrites, they themselves don't believe in what they say, they obviously know the truth about their fake evidences. For example they tell you about how this thing on an old painting is a flying saucer, but of course they don't tell you that the artist added the exact same thing to all his paintings, and it's just a representation of God.
The whole thing is based on Eric Van Daniscam and his books. They forgot to tell you that he was jailed for faking the evidences his first book was based on, but he still became a millionaire and went on lying. If you see it as a science fiction show, yes it's fine, but they didn't present it as science fiction, they always tried to present it as real.

This is why I don’t watch these, at least documentaries will interview people with actual qualifications and try to present perspectives in an interesting way. The guys they put on these shows are just book selling grifters making shit up off the top of their head. It ruins the immersion when they’re blowing smoke trying to speculate about something they only find mysterious because they don’t know something super fucking basic about the world. When you get an actual scientist to talk about this stuff even if they think it’s full of shit they’ll at least treat it as a serious thought experiment and explain why. Boring entertainment.
