You are correct, there is no "outside" the Cube.

In Mahayana Buddhism, particularly based on Nāgārjuna’s philosophy, samsara (the cycle of suffering/rebirth) and nirvana (liberation) are not considered two distinct, separate realities, but rather two different perspectives on the same nature of reality.

Samsara is viewed as the mind experiencing reality through ignorance and clinging, while nirvana is the same reality perceived without those delusions.
