Don't think he won't honor his side of the bargain. The entertaining part to him is that he will, often, give people exactly what they ask for.
It's only once they realize what they gave up for what they asked for is both irreversible and was moronic the entire time that the true laughs are had.
We (I) must be very careful about what I ask for and what I think I want. I have a limited perspective and am incapable of making a sound bargain because I have a very limited view of the whole. My desires (and the desires of man, in general) ... are basically poisonous and in direct conflict with the well-being of the soul.
Why do you think every religion in the worlds core teachings involve temperance and distancing onceself from the "desires" of the body ... and that most deadly since involve giving in to said 'worldly' desires?
