Too old to start Skateboarding (mid-20s) and on top of that too clumsy, and I am way too heavyset even if I am losing weight. I am doing sports that suit my body type more like wrestling-based stuff.
Still, I will say that I definitely respect the fuck out of skateboarders though.

Well this guy looks WAY bigger than me, so if he's able to do it, then it should be good for me.
Then sure thing. I guess it won't be an issue to start then.
>Just don't snap your legs big boys
Good thing I've been working on stronger legs for Judo, then.
Alright. I guess I can get started then. Anything I need to know before getting started?

Are you able to run out of things? Like you have some speed jump off, can you run out of that and not die? If so you'll be fine.
>need to know
Just learn to roll, bend your knees, keep balanced etc. Go at your pace, I think pump tracks are great for beginners.

Cause I know retards that lost their jobs due to inability to work cause of injuries gotten skateboarding. Seriously think about it. Unless you're essential to your place of employment, if you tell them "sorry I'll can't do what you hired me for for 6-8weeks or maybe more cause I decided to FAFO with a skateboard" they're just going to replace your dumb ass. The chance of serious incapacitating injury is so much higher than alot of other extreme sports.

If I want to cruise around in peace
>Bicycle
If you want to make some cool videos with your friends and have no obligation
>Rewind 15+ years and be a teenager again
Also
>Have supportive friends, parents and an environment you feel good skating in
>Local park full of druggies and chavs robbing people
Hobbies are about opportunity more than anything
That top skater of all time.the autistic one, he skated in his parents barn in full protective gear. That's how he got good

I got my old board out the other day. Didn't want to do anything wild and risk hurting myself before the weekend.
My cardio sucks, my lungs were burning after skating a block and back.
There are two parks nearby, I might hit one up someday.

Make skateboarding cozy but get real fucking good
To where you can go to a competition real nervous but ignore the hype and perform better than anyone else because you practiced extensively
If someone bombed a hill in San Francisco and you want to do that, wear gear and PRACTICE SITUATIONS WHERE YOUD GET SPEED WOBBLES OBSESSIVELY
Evel Kinneval could have gotten a lot further if he were good at math
So apply math and physics to your obsession
You can only break and twist your limbs so often before you have to decide to either quit take a break or better yet WEAR GEAR AND STUDY LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT
The hippie dippie retards with no gear are bound to either become paralyzed or addicted to crack
