Was wondering if you guys could help me find the name of a professional x-games or motocross athlete that crashed about 20 years ago. Read an article about him in an espn magazine sometime between 1998 to 2006. It said he crashed and the handle bars hit his chest and he had to get an artificial heart that ticked and bothered him when he tried to sleep because he would hear it. the 450 class (the 250 class in your day), is pretty stacked right now.
you got the aussie brothers, Jett and Hunta Lawrence, Jett did a perfect season his first 450 outdoor season.
Jett is hurt right now but hunta is doing decent this season
then you got Eli Tomac the 33 year old geezer BEAST. 3x champ but would be 5x if not for crazy injuries without even crashing. He's the current points leader in 450. absolute BEAST of a man.
You got Chase "bullet head" Sexton, the fastest dude these days but he's kinda a dumbass and crashes a lot.
James Stewart's brother Malcom is doing pretty well this season, although he got landed on by Justin Barcia off a triple in a gnarly ass crash at a1 this year. but he's a giant gorilla type black feller so he not only survived but raced the next race. Amazing imo.
the duki brothers Kenny Rockzen and Jason Anderson are also doing well
The AMA/feld are ran by turbo mega jews who take all the money and pay the riders nothing
they basically treat it like a circus

anyway for the 250 boys, you got the current west coast champ and points leader Haiden Deegan (Brian Deegan's son who you might remember) who is what some would call a little asshole, but i would call the future GOAT.
you got Cole Davies, the next fastest dude from New Zealand gonna do good on east coast
you got some shitters like Levi Kitchen and Chance Hymen who pussy out of races cause they are literally mind broken by deegan
you got ryder fagfrancisco who does finger guns for 4th place, he might do ok if he doesnt get tire tapped on his head

motocross is for racing, freestyle for tricks. the best trick is not dying or getting crippled. The Carmichael-McGrath-Stewart era was the best of all time. No one is as good as Carmichael was, probably never will be. Jett was good but now he keeps getting hurt, will affect his confidence for sure, he is probably pushing too hard. AMA sold the series to a private company who is killing the sport with greed. No more outdoor nationals at Glen Helen because the promoter wants all the money for themselves.

Web was in front of craig on the outside and turned in closing off the lane, craig hit the front brake hard and the front dipped and the front wheel tucked in and it caused him to drop the bike into Tomac. If you ever raced motocross the start is part of the challenge and its where a lot of people get tangled up as they are forced together into the first turn. That is why its so important to get out front and into the first turn - and causes everyone to drag race to the first turn.

Hunter's rear wheel unexpectedly dropped and his left foot came off the peg and when he landed he dabbed his left foot and it got swept back and his suspension unloaded and he went straight as Roczen was turned in and gunned it.
