That's a bit of a loaded question and I'm still in the resource gathering phase so I'm not a great source of inspiration or knowledge.

Blender is an open source 3d tool that does basically a bit of everything you'd need and it's just "good" at it, not "great" just "good, unless you get some specific add-ons. Also, even if you used blender you'd still need assets, so unless you want to create everything from scratch the sane option is going for DAZ in my opinion.

DAZ is specifically a character based software, it was built to create. pose and render 3d characters so it's a good choice for porn. You can still port assets back and forth between DAZ and blender, I personally render with blender cycles because my 5070Ti GPU is incompatible with DAZ.

If you want to create your own models then you can either go for DAZ3D, get some "morphs" which are basically in-depth sliders to make a character like in the Sims. Or sculpt them from scratch with blender or zbrush, but sculpting would just be barely half the battle, you'd still need to rig it, texture it, etc...
