>be me
>20 years old going on 21 in May, Finance Major, Junior
>I don’t wanna work in sales
>An autistic freak who has been terminally online since 9 years old and reclusive throughout college in parents’ home (I mainly do my classes online)
>tried looking for internships but failed twice to get interviews (unless you count recorded interviews) despite applying 200 times
>Got one interview offer due to an internal connection (mother), bombed it
>I tried to network quite a bit but it hasn’t lead to anything, and everytime I network it makes me dreadful
>parents offer me to pay for a paid internship via intern group or AIFS or whichever is best, costs like 10k

Is it even worth it to pursue a paid internship? Will these make any difference in a job search? I literally can’t find any unpaid internships on handshake or elsewhere, and I really fear I’ll just become a wageslave bum because of this, which means I’ll be far less likely to find a family than I already am…(yes I do want to have a family as ridiculous as it may seem given my circumstances)

>paid internship
It sounds weird so I'm apprehensive. I'd test how much it matters with a fake resume (not using your own real name and such) to see how well it works for getting an interview at random companies.
>[I want to have a family despite my circumstances]
Normal goals are normal and, technically, such a goal is always possible if you are willing to drop your quality of life (despite however undesirable it may be).

when I mean paid internship, I mean I am paying for it, and I am not getting a salary at all, its just for my resume, since I technically have job experience on my Resume but not in reality. its my fathers side gig, but I dress it up to be this small company with multiple employees and me utilizing excel and handling logistics and shit with (which I do not in reality but I might be better at lying than I think judging by last interview)

also with testing a fake resume, don't they usually verify if such presence has actually existed before they decide to bring you in person?

Bro, I don't even know what you want to do, it seems you're doing everything at the same time for other people's sake at their shit advice.

You're a finance junior, idk what junior means, I'll assume it's your first or second year on a 5 year degree. If that's the case, Why do you want a job right now? If you have money problems, paying for an internship works against you.

If you need experience for your CV, I really doubt there isn't a single enterprise where you can't just say you would work for them for free. I don't know what labor laws are where you live that may put limits on hiring undergraduates. Either way, paying for some matchmaker middleman sounds like a really dumb fucking idea, you're literally getting scammed if the only way to get a job is to pay an entry fee.

I think getting a job where you get paid is best. Next, you have to butter up the boss and have him write a letter of recommendation saying your role included doing financial analysis or whatever your major is supposed to work as (btw, you write the letters, the bosses just sign them). In your CV then you write down that your role included doing that shit. There. You have experience. If you have 3 years experience in doing any shit you are free to pursue a specialization without people giving you shit for it.

Now, you say you don't like lying, networking and you're shit at people's skills. Well, why the fuck did you enter the corporate world then nigga? This world is hell. Your compass is right in that the only worthwhile industry is finance, logistics, manufacturing in that order. The only measure of success is infinite growth, and for that goal the skill of outjewing everyone through whatever underhanded means is necessary. That means Lying, Scamming like you're getting, Boasting and Threatening. If that's not you, you can't hope to be anything but to sit in a bullshit job without purpose in life.

I just want to get a stable job that leads to upward mobility in the future, that’s all I want really

Also a junior is someone who is in their 3rd year of college, I am about to end it soon once summer ends, then I’ll be a senior, junior is my 3rd year of a 4 year degree, and my parents would be paying for the internship

I can’t really work for free due to US labor laws, best you can do is an unpaid internship which is difficult to come by but I would take in a heartbeat if I could

As for paying for some matchmaker middleman, it’s the only thing I can do to get relevant experience (I do have some experience as stated above but not true experience) since all my other efforts haven’t been good enough, from what I have heard “the intern group” is reliable

I entered finance because it’s the middle ground for me, I wanted to get a stable career, despite having a passion in something that I obviously would not get a job by majoring in, but I was also never into coding either

Look for non-profits to volunteer for. Never pay to work for someone, that's retarded.
