>make Tinder profile
>tons of girls explicitly saying they're looking only for new friends
>no problem at all swiping on them because I need to practice having normal platonic conversations with women too, not just dating stuff
>make wholly normal, non-flirty questions about their profiles, jobs, places they've been to
>after a few lines they stop responding or outright say that I'm boring them or that this isn't what they were looking for
What the hell? Are they looking for dates and boyfriends and just being coy about it? They swiped right on me so presumably also saw that we had similar interests. I made absolutely zero comments or questions that could be misconstrued as flirty, they said they only wanted friends, I approached them and began talking in the same way as I would a guy, no sexual undertones whatsoever. Isn't that exactly what they want?

No one is actually looking for friendship on that site. Why else would they purposefully try to match with the opposite sex alone? They put that there in an attempt to control the expectations of the guy they'll meet up with. Hope this helps.
