Yeah, I guess so. I mean warm approaching in social circles seems the best for an average guy, but it's very easy to poison the well which means you only have 1-2 bullets to fire in most cases. After 1 rejection you are on thin ice. After 2 the well is almost 100% poisoned. You have to be really passive.
