Hold onto that relationship with your grandparents! Remember every moment, ask them for advice, and cherish the small things. Make sure you call them as much as possible, too. As a disabled adult, I didn't always do this, and living with that regret brings me a lot of pain.

While I have a caretaker now who reminds me of my grandmother which brings me a sense of peace and comfort I wouldn't want anyone else to feel the ache of 'too late.' I just wanted to leave this reminder: don't wait until tomorrow to reach out to the people who shaped you. Perspective is a hard-won gift; please use mine to fuel your own connections.

Get them talking. Ask about their parents, their childhood, your dad's (or mom's) childhood, your own. ANYTHING they tell you will become gold in your memories.
