does anyone know why lions and humans have an opposite relationship between male baldness and testosterone? bald men are the result of higher testosterone (well, its byproduct, DHT, but close enough), and a castrated man will not go bald inversely, bald lions are the result of NOT enough testosterone, with castrated lions generally losing their manes (or not growing them at all if it happened young enough)

Anyone here ever see the movie Roar? Absolutely bonkers movie but more for it's production than its story. They had dozens of trained and untrained lions and other big cats on set, and they just had the actors go in with them and say their lines. The trainers kept trying to tell them that the more animals they had, the worse it would get. It's crazy. You can tell the people are genuinely scared, and there were over 300 injuries during production. Some of the nature shots in the movie are really great, too. but the vast majority of the movie is just people that seem genuinely worried these lions are going to attack them for real as they are chased and knocked over.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnE 640xWaqk

>>5111640 I saw Roar a few years ago and the story itself is basically an excuse plot to get into the insanity of a swarm of big cats crammed together in one house. >A zoologist brings his family out to Africa, with his house being part of a "study" to prove that big cats aren't really dangerous (ironic given the infamous production history of this movie). >There are a lot of lions, there had to be at least a hundred from how packed there inside the house in this movie. There's also a lot of tigers and a few leopards, jaguars and cougars. One shot had a pair of cheetahs, which seemed to be kept separate from the other cats for fairly obvious reasons. You can see these cats fighting each other in the background at a few points in the movie, which a disclaimer at the beginning insists is not actual fighting but it feels suspect. >There's two sets of villains, some Mexican poachers and an evil lion with fake blood on his mane named Togar. Togar is opposed by this good lion that was the zoologist's favorite and they fight a few times. At the end, the poachers are killed either by Togar or the good lion after shooting some of the lions and tigers. Unlike the rest of the movie, the shooting is clearly fake as the cats take trained falls. >Most of the movie is spent with the main character and his sidekick out driving with two tigers riding in the backseat while the family is chased around by the cats inside the house (including Togar). The lions tear down closet doors and wooden walls while the family tries to hide. At one point they try to hide inside barrels of water, which the lions drink from while they're inside. >The family tries to escape down the river on a boat only to get attacked by an elephant that also lives on this property, which wrecks their boat. >At the end the family has this "they're not so bad epiphany" when they see the cats sleeping together inside this shed and lay down with them as well. >Holy shit there's so many lions.

Can you imagine what Jesus had to face. Every one at each others throats. He did not accept and sought to start a change at one person, the ways of the world. This next fact can depress you or make you laugh: 14,000 estimated wars throughout history to the present day The Lion that which does not fight. Success in the alteration of the nature of Man.
